I got Dash when he was just a puppy, he is now 7years old and a super sweet boy. He is very calm and loving , constantly wanting to be loved on. I’m not able to give him the time he deserves and needs anymore. I want his new home to be full of love and with no kids or male dogs since he is not neutered. Someone who just wants a loving calm dog and can give him the love and attention he deserves. He is very well maintained and is up to date on everything.

Murphy is a friendly, easygoing pup who enjoys treats, happily sits on command, and walks beautifully on leash. If you're looking for a sweet, well-mannered companion, Murphy is ready to meet you! Murphy is approximately 6 years old and weighs 68 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, has been neutered and microchipped, and did test negative for heartworms. Please come meet Murphy in kennel 57; his ID # is 19041. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. For the most part he gets along with other animals but there have been instances were he didn’t get along with other dogs. He loves fetch at the doggy park or just playing with his tennis balls indoors. Most day's he naps and enjoys lots of scratches and tends to follow his human friends.

Kali is a 5 year old goldendoodle that we bought at 8 weeks old from a breeder in Georgia. She is around and 25 pounds and has absolutely been a part of this family from day one. She is a wonderful family dog, extremely cuddly and loves getting attention. She has grown up with an elderly cat, two children from infancy, and two parents who mostly work from home at a home with a fenced in backyard. She is HIGHLY intelligent, picking up tricks within a couple of tries and is highly food motivated. If there is any food around, she will find it. She can be overly intelligent, and finds ways to be defiant and has figured out that toddlers and babies are good sources of stolen food and toys. She is crate trained (though would rather sleep in bed with you) and is house and leash trained. I am looking for a new home for her with parents that can devote the time to exercising her both mentally and physically like she needs.

Meet Asher! Asher is an approximately 1-year-old parti Standard Poodle, about 45 lbs, and still very much a puppy! He’s friendly, affectionate, and full of playful energy—he just needs a little help remembering not to give enthusiastic “poodle hugs.” He’s housetrained, crate trained, and settles well in his crate, where he sleeps through the night. Asher loves to chew (durable toys only!) and enjoys puzzle feeders and enrichment. He gets along well with dogs his size and energy level. Asher is an active dog who needs a fenced yard, daily exercise, and plenty of mental stimulation. He’s not a couch potato and would thrive with an active family or in dog sports like agility or nosework. If he’s your only dog, he’ll need consistent activity and engagement. Because of his puppy energy, no small dogs or children under 10. He’s smart, eager to learn, and responds well to positive reinforcement—he already knows “sit” and “shake”! Asher will require professional grooming every 6–7 weeks, and his adopters should be prepared for that commitment. He’s continuing to work on leash skills and will benefit from ongoing training. Atlanta-area adopters only (home visit required).
