Story
Teddy is an incredibly loving companion! I’ve had him since birth, and he is now around 3 years old. He is very smart and clever; he has been house-trained since he was 6 months old and knows how to communicate his basic needs. Teddy is quite affectionate and can become very clingy once he warms up to you. He does not like being alone for long periods and is very active and playful. He loves to play with kids and thinks he’s still a puppy himself. I am looking to find him a great home or family due to my family's work and school schedule. It breaks my heart to let him go, but I want him to have the best life possible. We still consider him part of the family; we just want him to have a better living situation.

Story
Mookie is a 5-year-old golden doodle with a fluffball of a personality and a heart as warm as his golden curls. From the moment he wakes up (tail wagging like a metronome on caffeine) to the time he curls up for bedtime, Mookie is on a mission—to spread joy, love, and the occasional slobbery kiss. Mookie lives for belly rubs, car rides with the windows down, and making new friends—especially the two-legged, giggling kind. Children adore him for his gentle nature and goofy antics, like the way he tilts his head when you say “walk” or how he somehow always knows where the treat jar is. Other dogs love him too; he’s the kind of pup who turns any dog park visit into a full-on playdate. But Mookie’s dream home? A big backyard where he can run free, chase butterflies, and practice his self-taught zoomie routine (which, by the way, is an art form). He thrives in wide open spaces and would love a family that can match his energy and give him snuggles.

These pups are in Atlanta, Georgia too!

Story
Oreo is an approximately 1 year old, 47 lb standard poodle. Oreo loves being around his foster family. He has a curious and playful personality. Oreo loves all humans and thinks that every dog he meets will be his playmate. Oreo likes to be near his humans but is not needy. Oreo loves to be near his foster dog, brothers, and sisters and will cry if separated. He will cry if he is not sleeping near or touching his foster dog brothers and sisters at night. Oreo is not crate-trained. Oreo loves leash walks, playing with his toys, riding in the car, and running in his foster dad’s fenced backyard. Oreo has been trained to walk with a Gentle Leader. Oreo’s foster dad nicknamed him ‘Houdini’ because Oreo is an escape artist. He has crawled under cars and fences. Oreo needs to have toys surrounding him at all times to keep him busy because he is still a puppy. Oreo is being trained to respect his foster family’s home because he is very curious and likes to get into trash cans. Oreo is great with all other animals, including chickens and cats, but can be too playful and scare his foster cat sister. Oreo is a poodle, so that he will require frequent grooming. Oreo is a special boy. At some point in his early life, his tail was broken, and his lower back was injured. Because of this, Oreo will require a very special family who can provide the extra care that Oreo requires. Oreo cannot move, wag, or lift his tail. His broken tail causes his poop sometimes to get stuck. He has been trained to allow his foster dad to help keep his back end clean with wet wipes and frequent washings. Because Oreo’s lower back and sacrum were injured, he came to Orphan Annie with frequent intermittent fecal incontinence. Orphan Annie has provided supplemental care, including chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture. The extra care has reduced his fecal incontinence by at least 90%, and he only has occasional fecal incontinence. He is on a weight management diet to keep his weight under 50 lbs and is also on a joint supplement to help with his back injury. To adopt Oreo, we require a fenced yard and another young, playful dog. His adoption fee is $350, which includes his shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, and heartworm testing. Story
Meet Callie! This young girl has done a lot of bouncing around in her young life. Originally purchased as a puppy, Callie's first owner was unprepared for what it takes to raise a poodle puppy so a kind friend offered to step in and help out. Unfortunately, that person found themselves having to relocate and wasn't able to take Callie with them. Wanting to make sure she ended up in a homes that would truly love her and be able to care for all her needs, they reached out to RMG for help Callie is not quite a year old and barely 25 lbs, although she does still need to gain a decent amount of weight. She is supposedly a miniature poodle, but we believe her to be moyan - she's way big for a miniature. Callie is great with all dogs and loves cats! She's a smart girl, true to her poodle heritage, who wants to be right by her person and is eager to please. She's such a little social butterfly that she likely would make an amazing therapy dog! Callie is looking for a tried and true poodle home with at least one other adult dog in the home. Does that sound like you? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: Previous first hand ownership experience with purebred poodles and another adult dog in the home are strict requirements to adopt Callie. No exceptions will be allowed ##2382941##

Story
Meet Pierce! Pierce and his siblings were found at a Metro Atlanta area fire house. They were within a fenced area when they were found, so it was obvious someone had intentionally dumped them - they couldn't have gotten in there on their own. After doing DNA on one of the siblings, we know that these guys are 50% poodle, but the other 50% is a whole mixture of a lot of breeds so these guys are NOT allergy friendly   Pierce is about 10 months old and around 65 lbs. He's great with other medium and large size dogs but he does have a bit of a prey drive, so he will not be a good fit for homes with cats or small dogs. His leaps of joy when he arrived at his foster home and realized he was safe for the first time were beyond priceless!   Pierce is looking for a home experienced with doodle type breeds and with another adult dog in the home. Does that sound like you? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org ##2269516##
