Weight ~ 52 lbs**Adoption Fee sponsored by Loren Morse, Realtor**This is Rooster. And his ears rule the roost.He`s a regal, tall, slender, and athletic 2-year-old mutt mosaic. At just over 50 pounds, behold a beautiful mix of breeds that we can only guess. In his previous home, he completed obedience training and was very quick to learn new things. He mastered basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, off, out, heel, come, and paw. He`s also crate trained (he loves it), and potty trained. Rooster is super sweet, loving, and very loyal to his people -- and has made many friends with our staff and volunteers. He`s also made a few dog friends here at the shelter and is a regular participant in our playgroup program with dogs of his size or larger. That said, we`ve heard he can be a little TOO interested in cats and smaller animals. We also recommend a home without small kids (older teenage kiddos might be okay). Hi there! My name is Ted and I'm a 1 year old, neutered Great Dane mix who weights about 80 pounds. I'm a super sweet, and outgoing boy who loves to play. I'm great with other dogs, so If you have a dog in your life and you are looking for a companion to join your pack, I might be the dog for you! I'm very silly and affectionate. I'm hoping for a family that is familiar with extra large boys like me and is prepared to make space for me on the couch for LX cuddles! You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! Let me introduce you to Cleo, our sweet, soulful Great Pyrenees mix who weighs about 70 pounds. She’s not just a pretty face (though her big brown eyes will melt you); she’s also incredibly smart. She watches everything and picks up on new things quickly—she already knows how to sit, stay, lay down, and “leave it,” and she’s learning more in doggie school every week. Cleo is potty trained and a great passenger in the car. At night, she sleeps soundly on our bed, curled up like she owns the place—and honestly, we don’t mind one bit. We haven’t tried her in a crate since the one we have is too small for her, but she’s been just fine without it. She loves chasing squirrels and once lunged at a neighbor’s cat—she thought it was just another squirrel in disguise—so a cat-free home is definitely best for her. She enjoys playing with other big dogs, but she’d also be perfectly content as the only dog in the house, soaking up all the love. At training, she’s been around small dogs and done well, but since everyone is on a leash there, we can’t say for sure how she’d be in an off-leash setting. She’s up to date on all her shots, and her spay is scheduled for the end of September. Cleo is one of the gentlest, most loving dogs we’ve ever had the joy of knowing. She’s not big on licking faces, but every now and then, she’ll surprise you with a kiss. She really is something special.
