Story
`Baby will you be my Corona lime... and I will be your main squeeze..`Meet Shwayze! He came into the Shelter as an owner surrender after his previous guardian was unable to continue caring for him. Shwayze has been hanging out in a foster home so we can get to know a bit about him in a home-like environment. His foster reports: `Shwayze is a very good boy. He loves going for walks & taking car rides. He is gentle around the cats & only mildly curious unless they run from him. He is potty trained completely & sleeps through the night on the couch. He knows sit, down & come. He has played with other dogs well & he definitely wants a buddy to run around with. He is an exceptional snugger & doesn’t quite believe that he is 90 lbs.` Shwayze is an easy going guy that would do well in a variety of homes. Any resident dogs should meet at the Shelter prior to adoption. A dog-savvy cat paired with a thoughtful, slow introduction may also be a fit. If you are looking for an overall good boy to be your sidekick - look no further than Shwayze!

Story
Adoptable Dog Stevie: Check out this girl's rare lineage and distinctive beauty! Meet Stevie, beautiful in her unique, one of a kind-ness! This blonde bombshell is believed to be a Central Asian Shepherd, possible blend, roughly 2 years old, 85 lbs, spayed, vaxed, microchipped and is looking for a family who appreciates her charm! PACC has been asked to help rehome Stevie because she and her canine sister get along great - until they don't. While the family isn't clear who starts the arguments, we want to err on the side of caution and find Stevie a home where she can be the sole doggess and her sister can be the same. The girls like to Face Time, just not under the same roof, if you follow our drift... Stevie boasts a myriad of superpowers: She's a people enthusiast, never meeting a person she doesn't adore. Humans find her irresistible (PACC being no exception) Bred to be a working dog, she's from the generation that throws out traditional job descriptions and writes their own - she aspires to be "THE" family dog and we don't want to stifle her entrepreneurial ambitions Stevie is super playful and puppy-like without the puppy downside of housetraining. While energetic in short bursts, she balances her day with napping and occasional and highly entertaining "zoomies" She likes her feline friends and tries hard to entice them to play. Blank stares are not a deal breaker in her book Stevie prefers play to walks—and LOVES treat toys and puzzles. It's important to her to keep her brain cells sharp Stevie is great on leash and can go for walks but when she is tired you'll know it cause she plops down (typically 15-30 minutes into a walk). With a good tug and motivational talk she'll continue on like the good girl that she is If Stevie sounds like a good fit with your situation COPY AND PASTE THE LINK TO THE adoption application into your browser and we will be in touch: No other dogs, cats ok, moderately active household or one that likes to keep the dogs brain occupied through games; children in the home 10 or older because little humans take time, dogs take time and few families have time for both; no need to follow in-fashion breed trends since Stevie's lineage and unique beauty is rare! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Happy Tripawed Puppy! Coco is an almost 1.5 year-old German Shepherd Dog who weighs approximately 78lbs.  Coco is just a sweet sweet dog. Curious, goofy, loving, and energetic - he loves everyone, and sees the best in them. Coco came to SV Pet Project with a lame right foot and needed multiple surgeries, first to remove a benign tumor, and then a full amputation of the right leg. Coco has adapted quickly to being an amazing tripawed pup.  Throughout Coco's medical treatments, his sweetness, friendliness, and gentle nature have continued to shine! Coco currently lives with two older 4-legged brothers and, while he would love to live with a fur-sibling, he is not part of a bonded pair. As long as he has fur friends to play with, Coco will be a happy boy! When playing with his human pals, in typical puppy fashion Coco can be a bit jumpy and mouthy, but that's easily addressed with a firm voice and a 15 minute walk :-) He's very verbally responsive and wants to please. Sweet Coco has been perfectly house trained since day one, loves car rides, and while he is working on his leash manners, he loves to go for walks and is learning not to pull in excitement when he meets new friends - that is Everyone! Coco knows the benefit of "Sit", "Down" and "Touch" to get his favorite treats, and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training. Check out Coco's profile on Rocky Kanaka! https://rockykanaka.com/one-leg-short-but-full-of-heart-a-german-shepherds-inspiring-escape-from-adversity/ Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetproject Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2024, 1:37 pm
