Story
We believe Stout would thrive with an experienced adult owner(s) who understands large or giant breeds and appreciates a sensitive dog who bonds deeply with a smaller circle of people. His ideal owner will be calm and confident, advocate for his space around unfamiliar people and animals, and understand that Stout does not need to greet every person or dog he encounters. He does not need another animal for companionship. He does not need someone home with him all day. He does not require enormous amounts of exercise. What Stout wants most is his people: a predictable home, comfortable places to sleep, car rides, some evening play and roughhousing, and the freedom to simply be near the people he loves. Stout has lived successfully in a multi-pet household, including with cats, for most of his life. However he has recently shown small indications of prey drive surfacing. He has started chasing the resident cats with more intensity and his owners do not want to risk a catastrophic accident.

Story
Moose will be 2 yrs old on May 12th. He is 90 lbs of Great Dane, Lab and Hound we think. He grew up with small dogs and cats so he thinks he is small like them. Moose is housebroken and crate trained. He loves to run and play and definitely needs a fenced in yard or a very active person. I feel like Moose would do best with a companion as well. He has been through basic training and is very smart. It has taken him a couple of weeks to get onto my routine and not get upset when I leave. For the first couple of weeks, we’ve had to give him a little sedative when I leave the house and put him in his crate, but we have weaned him off of that and he is doing great. His previous mom worked out of the home so he spent very little time by himself.

Story
LYNDA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME! Lynda is a 3 1/2 yr old Great Dane, 120 lbs. She is super sweet and smart. Lynda is very loving and sits and shakes. She is great with other dogs and love to romp. She is a happy girl and thrilled to be with people again and get all the love. Cats are unknown. She’s good with kids but is a big girl and could knock littles down. Crate trained, and housebroken. If you keep her on a schedule, she is thriving. Housebroken and crate trained! Spayed, fully vaccinated, microchip, and heartworm negative. She had a mammary tumor removed that came back benign. The vet feels like the others that she has attributed to her hormones and should reduce now that she is spayed. She has also has her stomach tacked to help avoid issues with the stomach flipping bc this girl loves to bounce when she plays. **Pls do your research on the issue of bloat and great Danes if you’ve never had a great Dane before.

Story
Lego is turning 9 years old in October, and he is an incredibly sweet boy, but we can no longer give him the attention he needs. His behavioral issues are because he is totally unaware of his own size. He tries to play, but does not read social cues and this causes conflict. It’s not aggression - he is just too big and unaware. He is leash trained, crate trained, and house trained.Lego needs an experienced dog owner who can give him the attention he needs with daily walks. He cannot be left unsupervised, at all; left unsupervised, he becomes destructive and will start to tear things up. He needs an extremely sturdy crate, which we have and can provide with him for his new home. On leash walks, he needs a harness or he will pull. He cannot be off leash or he will run away.He is an incredibly affectionate boy, he just requires lots of attention.
