Story
Bear is very playful and goofy and a beautiful dog. He is skittish with strangers. He will be 3 years old in August of 2026. We have him because we had a litter of puppies from our Great Dane and Anatolian/pyrenees mix, and we decided to keep him because he was so attached to his mom, and for a while it was fine. We had to move though, and they are in a much smaller space unfortunately, and now him and our other dogs do not get along at all. With them all being such large dogs it gets pretty scary, to the point that we cannot take good care of our other dogs because they get territorial over us with each other whenever we enter the kennel. I do not want to take him to a shelter, but it is to the point that we have to remove him from the situation. He is such a sweet dog with us, but we cannot give him the time or attention he needs to thrive, so we want to find him a good home.

Story
Meet Neko! This handsome boy was surrendered to the shelter on 6/27 after his former family realized they weren't prepared for a dog of his size and strength. Neko is a big, powerful dog who will thrive with a confident, kind adopter willing to continue working on his leash manners. He already knows how to sit and lie down on cue, and his previous family reported that he is house-trained, crate-trained, and good with children. If you're looking for a loyal companion and have room in your heart (and your home!) for a gentle giant, Neko could be the perfect match. Neko is approximately 4.5 years old, and weighs 145 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and has been microchipped. Neko will be neutered upon adoption. Unfortunately, Neko did test positive for heartworms, but with proper treatment and care he can go on to live a long and healthy life. Please speak with shelter staff about the option of fostering to adopt while he receives treatment. Nelo is waiting patiently in kennel 23; his ID # is 20377. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Hiya! My name is Sampson, but you can also call me Sammy-Boy, Sam-sam, Samlami, Sam-ba-lam, and so on, and so on. I am large bully type mixed puppy that is currently aged at 11 months old. I am a chonkin' 80+ pounds and may grow a little more before I am done, but never fear! I use my heft to crawl into your lap and ask for more cuddles and kisses. I originally came to the shelter in late June when my family decided they could not care for me and their new human baby at the same time. While I miss my family, I extremely eager to find mt furever family and best the best boy you have ever had. I appear to be very playful with other dogs, but my owner did say I was a little too interested in the cats I was living with, so I may just want to enjoy human and possibly canine company. If you do have children or dogs, it would be awesome to bring them by before we all go home together, so we can ensure we'll all be the best of buds. I almost forgot! I am also potty trained and crate trained, so one less thing to worry about when I am settled in. I hope we can play soon! Story
Diesel was fostered from Fulton County Animal Shelter. Because he is a Corso he was on the euthanization list. When we rescued him he was 69 lbs and his ribs were showing. We now have him in great shape and around 125 lbs. The only reason we are rehoming him is because he doesn't get along with our male pitbull who was rescued first. He gets along with our female Corso, medium size dog and our Yorkie.. He truly is a very loving dog and becomes protective of those he bonds with. He is house trained and a guardian of the house and my wife and I.He will be the same with any new owner he bonds with. Backyard fencing is required. He is a big cuddle bug and sleeps on our bed every night. He is just over 2 years old and just needs a home without another alpha male. He gets along with small male dogs and all female dogs. He is located in North Georgia
