Story
🐾 Hello World! 🐾 My name is Stix, and I'm here to tell you my story. You see, I may have started my journey a little lost and confused, but thanks to the kindness of strangers, I've found my way to this shelter – and now, I'm hoping to find my forever home with someone just like you. First things first, let me introduce myself properly. I'm a proud Great Dane, just 2 years young and tipping the scales at a sleek 57 pounds. With my striking white and black coat, I like to think I'm quite the looker, but I promise, there's so much more to me than meets the eye. Sure, I'm not neutered yet, but that's a detail we can take care of together upon adoption. And as for my health, all my shots are up to date, so you can trust that I'm ready to be your loyal companion from day one. Now, let's talk personality. I've been described as beautiful, calm, sweet, and cute – and I have to say, I think those descriptions are pretty spot on! I'm a laid-back kind of guy, preferring quiet moments and gentle cuddles over anything too rowdy. But don't let my calm demeanor fool you – I've got plenty of love and affection to give. I'm ready to be your faithful companion, your trusty sidekick, your ultimate best friend. So, what do you say? Are you ready to open your heart and home to a handsome fella like me? Come meet me at cage #56, my ID is 657068, and let's start our journey together. I promise, it'll be one filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures. Hope to see you soon! Wags and woofs, Stix 🐾❤️ Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. Story
Meet Bearon! This handsome hunk with beautiful eyes is a 3-year-old, 65-pound, Great Dane & Catahoula mix (we think). He’s house and crate-trained and walks well on a leash. He’s looking for his forever family and wants a home where he’s your only kiddo (human or furry). A little more about Bearon: He can be wary of strangers and does best with slow introductions. Once he knows you, he’s quite the love bug and very sweet. He gets along well with other dogs but would do best as an only pet due to his occasional tendency to guard his food or toys. He’s an energetic boy, and a fenced backyard would be very helpful in getting his energy out each day. Once he’s exercised, he’s ready for a good snooze on the couch with you.   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online at http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.           May 6, 2024, 11:13 am

Story
Hello all, I am Scoobie! I am a 7 year old, beautiful, black, Great Dane and sometimes I even act like I know it! My fommy always calls me hansum, she makes me blush! And if you need to smile, well look no further than me! As you will see, I have a flipped up ear at times! It’s like a comb over ear! It brings a smile to everyone’s face! I’m a big boy at about 120 pounds, and my personality is BIG TOO! So here are the things a hooman needs to know about me.    I would do best being the only pup as I like my things. I don’t share the best with humans or other animals, so I need someone who can keep helping me be the best me like my foster parents do! They are patient with me, work with me, and when I do good things, they give me treats!! So I love doing good things!   I’m very food motivated so I will pretty much do anything you want me to do if you have a treat in your hand! I am also on medication daily that helps me be a better me and will need that medication indefinitely. I am a big couch potato, but I also sleep well in a crate. I am potty trained too! Woohoo!   I am a very strong boy, I don’t mean to be, but I am so I do need someone strong enough to handle my big boy size and strength. My foster mom’s requirements for being my new family are:   Must have Great Dane experience No children  No other pets Patient and willing to continue the training work.  Understands that I will forever be on medication that helps calm me and it works!      If you think you would love to be my new family and would love to give me the home I need to live out my golden years, please let Angels Among Us know!     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.           May 6, 2024, 11:13 am

Story
My oldest daughter came home with this dog in November 2023. He apparently came from a farm in Adairsville, GA. The owners did not want him. After just a day I knew this dog was sick. We took him to the vet and he was 96 lbs and full of parasites. We have been through 2 rounds of deworming and as of mid February the vet gave him a clean bill of health. He is now 120ish lbs. I had no intentions of keeping him but felt I could at least get him 100% better before trying to find him a proper home. He is really gentle with all people. It does take him longer to trust men I have noticed that but I just have advised men who come in contact with him to ignore him and with in an hour or two is is trying to play. He is really good around children. He is completely housebroken and has not had an accident in my house. I have not crated him because I have not had an issue with him destroying. He will come with a bag of food, Heartworm/flea/tick med. I live in Metro Atlanta.
