Story
Hello Future Family!! My name is DESIREE and I am a lovable 4 year old AKC registered Great Dane. I came into the rescue a very skinny girl but I have filled out nicely with the wonderful meals I have received. I am looking for my forever family - my foster parents love me but they said they have many doggies that need their help too. I love affection and laps, stuffed toys and my Nyla bones. I don't hate other dogs but my foster mom said I would be best as an only dog because I get jealous - sorry we all have our hang-ups. I am crate trained, house trained and extremely loving. Please send an email to my foster mom @ Sbanimalrescue@yahoo.com and tell her you have a soft spot for a big mush like me - I am waiting for you. Applications can be found on our website www.starbrightanimalrescue.org or please e-mail sbanimalrescue@yahoo.com for an application for DESIREE. We try to respond to ALL inquiries so, please check your junk mailbox if, you're waiting to hear from us.

Story
The brightest star in the night sky is Sirius, the perfect name for this gorgeous Great Dane/mixed breed boy with a heart as big as the universe and a shining personality just waiting for his forever home and family. Sirius is following the stars north from our southern rescue partner to bring light and love to everyone who is lucky enough to meet him. This big boy is currently 76 pounds and most likely grow a bit more. He will remain a large sized (61-90 pounds) dog when he is fully grown. He is at his happiest when he can meet anyone who will pet him and give him plenty of time and attention. Sirius has never met a canine companion that he did not enjoy and is great with children of all ages. He is also great with cats and is great as a travel companion as he enjoys car rides. Sirius is working on his crate training but he is currently house trained. He is well behaved on a leash so long as positive and firm guidance continues to be part of his training. Although Sirius is house trained, potty accidents can occur as they become accustomed to a new home, new family, and new routines. Sirius is not crate trained at this time and if crate training is planned, Sirius needs a crate that is big enough for him to stand and turn around in as well as lie down comfortably. Crates should be cozy, happy places for dogs to hang out. Crates must never be used for punishment. Adopt this gentle giant who is searching for a place to shine his light and you, and he will be the center of attention as Sirius spreads his loving glow and laughter wherever he is. The adoption fee for Sirius is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.May 6, 2024, 8:16 am

Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Charlie is a wonderful boy that just wants to be part of the family. He is kind, enjoys playing with other dogs and is respectful of cats. Charlie loves nothing more than going on long walks. Although he really enjoys being inside, you can often find him sleeping in the sun in the back yard. He is truly a gentle giant and enjoys taking a nap on the couch.
