Did someone say tall, dark, and handsome? That's Smoke! This big boy recently came to us as a stray, emaciated and sporting cherry eyes. Smoke is slowly regaining weight, and has had his eyes corrected, now all he needs is a home! So far Smoke seems to be a typical Dane; a sweet guy with no idea just how big he is, and a little on the nervous side. Smoke is very affectionate once he is comfortable with you, and is totally convinced he is a lap-sized dog. Smoke has done okay with other dogs. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Smoke home. Scarlett is a 1 year old great dane she loves to play sleep in bed with you and just be by your side. She is great with people and kids of all ages. We have 3 other dogs and her and another one haven't been able to get along so it breaks my heart to have to rehome her but it's not fair to my older dog. We have tried everything except a professional trainer. She's a beast with a big heart just needs some one on one time and training she will make a great best friend for the right person. She does seem to have separation anxiety and doesnt do well when left alone without other dogs or people in the home. Will need to be crate trained

Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before we close to ensure we have time to do the adoption.We're open Monday through Friday 12-5 pm and Saturday 11-3 pm. We're located at 9331 State Route 124 Hillsboro, OH. Our adoption is open and easy, please come to the shelter to meet the animals in person to adopt.
