Meet Kato 🐾💙Kato is an 8-month-old Great Dane mix weighing about 50 lbs — and still growing! Story
2.5 year old Great Dane. His core personality is very sweet and loves to be loved. Typically a couch potato. He is great with my 10 year old and our other Great Dane. He needs someone with experience. He has behavior issues with territory that we don’t know how to deal with. This did result in a bite. Due to where we live we can’t keep him and we are not doing a good job with this territorial behavior. He will be a great dog with someone who has experience.

Story
Groot is 7 years old, house trained and very lovable. Hes a cat lover but doesn't like other dogs. He likes to dance, hug, and have fun. I work all the time and unfortunately my wife's health has deteriorated and she is no longer able to handle him. He is very loved and we are so saddened that we must give him up to give him the life he deserves.

Story
Are you looking for a large horse shaped dog to cuddle with every night? I may be the perfect guy for you! Hi, I'm Drako, and I'm the BIGGEST cuddler in the world. I also give the best kisses ever. I'm eager to please and I already know how to sit, lay down, and shake--but I would love to learn more. I've made several canine friends during my time here at SICSA, and absolutely love running and romping around with them when I can. I'm a big fan of toys, especially the ones that squeak! Not to brag, but I think it's safe to say I'm a staff favorite around here due to my charisma. If I sound like the guy for you, come on down to SICSA to meet me! I promise I have plenty of love to give! This pet is available through SICSA Pet Adoption & Wellness Center, located at 8172 Washington Church Road, Washington Township, OH 45458. We are open Monday through Saturday from 12pm-7pm. To schedule an appointment or inquire about walk-in availability, you can reach us during our open hours at 937-294-6505.

Story
I have spent the majority of my life in rescue. I started out as a puppy in a California rescue "One Dane At A Time" and when my foster home moved to Ohio she brought me with her. Finally after 3 years in rescue I was adopted but that only lasted a year and well, I am again looking for a forever home. At first I thought I would be making the trip back to California but my new Grandma here in Ohio said I could stay here and find my forever home!! Update 7/3: Great News!! I will definitely be celebrating the Fourth of July because I am NOW ready for adoption!! I am a very loving girl and I do love my toys but I am a good girl I do not tear them up although at times they get a tiny rip when I am playing with it but I never shred them!! I love other dogs and cats as well!! Actually I can best be described as I just love life!! If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you will need to follow the adoption procedures on our website. https://hhdane.com The procedures are on the right-hand menu. https://hhdane.com/hhdane/procedure.htm I have also pasted them below for your convenience. Thank you for your interest in our dogs. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Our adoption area is Ohio and Extreme Northern Kentucky (Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties). We do not adopt to any other areas. For exact area go to FAQ. All of our rescue dogs are spayed and neutered prior to adoption. All shots including lyme and rabies are given. They have been wormed, checked for heartworm, lyme disease & ehrlichia, and placed on heartworm preventative. All dogs are kept for a minimum of one month for temperament evaluation and to be house trained. Registration papers are returned to the AKC as per their request and there are no exceptions. We require a fenced yard, fence must be at least 4 feet tall (48 inches) and must attach or surround with direct access to the building where the dog will be housed, NO Exceptions. Invisible and electric fences do NOT meet the requirements of a fenced yard. A yard of adequate size, to be determined on an individual basis. All pets in the home must be altered and current on vaccinations prior to applying to adopt. Adopter must be at least 21 years of age at time of application. In some rare cases apartments and condos may be acceptable if they have direct access to a fenced area for the dog to relieve themselves. Apartments and Condos to be determined on an individual basis. If you live in a condo you must send us a copy of your condo association rules as well as the contact number for the condo association. We do not place puppies and young Danes in apartments or condo's. We do not accept checks or credit cards. If you are in the process of installing a fence, PLEASE DO NOT submit application until the yard is securely fenced. If you are in the process of purchasing your home or moving, PLEASE DO NOT submit your application until after you have moved and settled into your home. We are located east of Cincinnati, outside the town of Hamersville. Adoption fees: $300 for 6 months and under. $250 for 7 months to 4 years of age. $150 for 4 to 6 years of age. $100 for 6 years and up. ADOPTION PROCEDURES!! 1. You will need to fill out the online application and submit a $10.00 application fee thru PayPal if you do not want to use PayPal you may mail either a money order or cashier's check only. NO personal checks! Once the application is submitted you will receive when you receive that email, please ignore it if you paid your application fee through PayPal if you did not, please reply to the email with how you intend to pay the application fee. Your application will not be processed till the fee is paid. If you are mailing the application fee, send it to: Harlequin Haven Great Dane Rescue 11567 State Route 774 Bethel, Ohio 45106 Answer all questions honestly, accurately, and completely an incomplete application is reason for refusal to adopt. Out of our adoption area applications will NOT be processed. Application fee is non-refundable. This part of the adoption process may take up to 2 weeks. 2. A volunteer will call or e-mail to let you know if we have a dog that would work in your home at this time. If we have a dog that would work in your home, then an appointment will be set to come and view the dogs. We are open Saturdays and 1 Sunday a month by appointment ONLY. 3. With an appointment, you may come to view up to 3 dogs. All family members and dogs living in the home are required to come for this visit. This better enables us to help you find the perfect dog for you home and family. If you find a dog you wish to adopt, there is a 1 week waiting period which will allow you time to think about what you are doing prior to adopting. 4.
