Story
Meet Linus, an unclaimed stray now looking for his forever home. This young, energetic dog is eager to please and loves to play. He is interested in everything that goes on around him. When he came into the shelter, he was very much underweight and is now at a healthy weight. Due to his size and energy level, he's not suitable for a home with young children. He has come a long way in his training and is no longer displaying prior resource guarding behaviors, although he is vocal when playing and that vocalization can be easily misinterpreted. He is turning out to be a big Goober and is very affectionate. He knows basic commands. He loves car rides and has had several great outings in the local park. He has an energetic, rough and rowdy play style with other dogs. He will do best with an experienced handler committed to continuing his training. Are you the special someone who can give Linus the love and guidance he needs? Potential adopters will be required to spend time with the volunteer currently working with Linus to review handling and training he's been receiving. $75 adoption fee includes neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations and microchip. He tested NEG for heartworms, has been treated for parasites and is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
