Story
DOB: 3/27/2023 Weight: 80 lbs.  Alfie is a handsome 3-year-old Great Dane/Poodle mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and in excellent health. He's looking for an active family who can give him plenty of exercise and adventure.  Alfie is a gentle giant who absolutely adores people. He has been raised in a home with four children and is incredibly loving, patient, and affectionate with kids of all ages. He enjoys being close to his family, lounging indoors, and soaking up attention from his favorite humans.    Alfie is crate trained, leash trained, and understands basic household routines. He knows basic commands such as sit and down, and he is eager to please. He is intelligent, affectionate, and thrives when he receives consistent structure and attention. Whether he's spending time with his family or showing off his good manners, Alfie is happiest when he is included in everyday life.   One of Alfie's favorite activities is going for car rides. He happily loads up and enjoys being part of the adventure, whether it's a quick trip around town or a longer outing. He also does exceptionally well when boarded and adjusts comfortably to boarding environments, making him an easy companion for families who travel or occasionally need pet care services.   Alfie currently lives with another large dog and has been successful in that environment. However, he can be selective about other animals and would benefit from slow, proper introductions to any new pets. Because every dog relationship is different, we believe Alfie would thrive either as an only pet receiving all of the attention or in a home with an experienced owner who is willing to carefully manage introductions and ensure a good fit.   Alfie enjoys having space to stretch his long legs, explore, and spend time outdoors, so a securely fenced yard would be ideal for him. While he enjoys outdoor time, he is happiest when he is with his family and included in daily life.   Alfie has so much love to give and deserves a home that understands his needs and can provide the attention, stability, and companionship he craves. In return, he will reward his family with endless loyalty, affection, and plenty of goofy Great Dane charm. He's neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and will be tested for heartworms very soon. His adoption fee is $275 and you can apply here if you're interested: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Moose was seized in a cruelty case; we do not know the story, but he has been the best boy since getting with us. He had about given up, but once he knew he was safe and cared for, he really excelled; he even gets the zoomies; he is so happy. Moose gets along with the other dogs in his foster home, all sizes and ages, but is especially fond of the smaller dogs. He does not live with cats but was fine with the ones he has been exposed to.Moose loves attention and meeting new friends. He likes to go for rides and is great on a leash, sowith a little help getting in a vehicle, he would be a great travel companion. Moose was a senior when we got him and had not been neutered, so while he is house- and crate-trained, he needs to go out when he asks, or he can not wait long. He is very good about letting his foster mom know when he has to go out.Moose is a typical, laid-back Great Dane, gentle giant, and total love bug. He would be a greataddition to any kind of home, and if you would love to give a senior boy a great forever homeMoose could be the boy for you.He is fully vetted - neutered, current with vaccines, microchipped, and has been treated forheartworms. He is on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Story
Treats, Snuggles, and Sleeping In! Meet Gypsy 🦴💤 Looking for a playful partner who actually lets you get a full night's rest? Meet Gypsy, a 10-month-old, 49-pound bundle of joy who already sleeps straight through the night! Gypsy is the perfect mix of active and affectionate. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, loves a good play session, and is an expert-level snuggler when it's time to wind down. Because she is incredibly treat-motivated, she is a dream to train! She is currently using all those training snacks to master her daytime crating, polish up her potty training, and practice her loose-leash walking (she is a strong girl who gets very excited to explore!) Her eagerness to learn for a snack means you will have an absolute blast teaching her the ropes. Gypsy’s Ideal Home: Vibe: Playful, affectionate, and ready to train Family: Great with other dogs! (Sweet, friendly girl, unknown yet with cats or kids - that's what our meet & greets are for.) Skills: Sleeps through the night like a champ; currently working on enjoying daytime crating, perfecting potty training, and leash manners. Gypsy was not very fond of 3 rainy days because this is what she loves. Time outside, mostly in the shade. But she almost always does some sun bathing. Her head, coat and tail are reminiscent of a great dane. But, at 10+ months she has grown into her paws but still has long legs like maybe a pointer. She is less than half the size of a dane at 50 pounds. She loves fetch and tug of war. She would lay next to us on the couch if we allowed, though she is perfectly comfortable at your feet. A funny and loving girl. Come meet her.

Story
Dak is 10 weeks old now and ready to start his pre-adoption trial! Dak and his siblings made their way to Rescue Row from Oklahoma after one of our amazing animal advocates came across a post about an accidental litter in need of help. Their owners are both facing cancer and, due to their unfortunate health circumstances, were no longer able to provide the care the puppies needed. If you are interested in adopting, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org  *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 3 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2845640##
