Story
DOB: 2/1/2023 Weight: 104 lbs Stay tuned for more photos Blue was purchased from a breeder in 2023 and is being surrendered by his family due to him not getting along with the cats in the home. He is house and crate trained, knows basic commands such as sit and stay and does well with children. He would do best in a home that can provide him lots of exercise, as he's very high energy. Blue is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He loves toys, and rides well in the car and is affectionate. Blue walk ok on his leash but could use more work.  His adoption fee is $275 and you can apply to adopt him here: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society 02/01/2023 We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. Story
Looking for a smart, sweet, and oh-so-handsome companion? Meet Archie, a gentle and goofy giant with a big heart and an even bigger personality! This 70-pound Great Dane/Lab mix is as affectionate as he is intelligent — he already knows how to sit, lay down, and shake, and he’s always eager to learn more.Archie LOVES to play, whether it’s romping around the yard or tossing toys in the air. He has great manners around the house and can be a total cuddle bug, but he’s also perfectly content hanging out in his own bed if you need some space.Archie is still learning how to be his best self around other dogs. He’s participated in playgroups and is making great progress, but he’ll thrive with a patient, committed adopter who can help him continue working on his reactivity with positive guidance. If you`re looking for a loyal, loving, and trainable pup who’s ready for adventure and snuggles, Archie might just be your perfect match!Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!   Holly    is a beautiful Heeler miniature Dane mix who’s only about 50 pounds and looks larger in pictures than she is when you actually meet her   Holly is super cuddly indoors but loves to run around outdoors and is used to wide open spaces to explore.   Hollie was a country girl who was able to come indoors whenever she wanted but be outdoors for fun and frolicking; he was the perfect life for Holly, but unfortunately her owners were forced to move away and couldn’t bring her with .   Holly is six years old. She is completely housebroken.  She’s not destructive inside the house at all, loves to sleep on the sofa or bed and to be close to her humans when they’re at home.    Holly is friendly and gentle. She hasn’t lived with small children but she’s also never shown any sign of aggression.  We believe that because of her size she’d probably do best with older children or in a home with moderately active young to middle-aged adults.   One area of need Holly has is to work on leash training; since she grew up in a rural area Holly hasn’t had much need for leash walking, but in a new home that’s one area of training that will need fine-tuning.   When Holly came into foster care, even though it was completely different from everything she ever knew, she settled in the minute she walked in the door! She found a comfy place on the couch to call her own and curled right up and acted as though she lived there her entire life!   The only adjustment Hollie has had a hard time with is a fenced backyard. Our foster homes do have nice fenced backyards, but nothing like the spaces that people have when they don’t live in a city or a suburb. We hope to find Holly a home that has some acreage, but also where she is definitely part of a family and allowed to come inside to live her best indoor- outdoor life.   Holly never bothered livestock but we don’t know how she would do with indoor cats. She’s definitely good with other dogs, both male and female of all sizes. Since she’s been in a foster home she’s lived with up to two or three different dogs at a time and done very well with all of them.   We also would like a home where someone is around  most of the time; Holly‘s owners were there a lot of the time that she was growing up she’s not used to a life where people are gone from seven in the morning until five in the afternoon.    Holly is welcoming of all people very friendly, loves getting petted and knows several commands.   Holly‘s perfect life could also be living with somebody retired or retired couple whose home most of the time and just wants a companion dog to cuddle with their feet to throw a ball for and to keep them company. If Hollie sounds like the ideal companion for you, please complete the application on our website below. Then    TEXT KEVIN: 469-623-3999   So he can check your application and get back to you   Thank you   www.dashdog.org General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city.
