Venus is an adorable, Great Dane mix who weighs about 109 lbs. She can be a little shy and timid at first, but once you give her a few treats, she is sweet and affectionate. She knows basic commands like `sit`, `down`, `paw`, `leave-it`, `watch` and more! She is potty-trained and crate trained. She is considered a medium energy dog, who is food motivated and very bright because she is picking up training fast! She would do best in a house without other pets. Meet Bluey! This handsome man is looking for a new home after being surrendered to the shelter when his old owner could no longer take care of him. Bluey is a smart guy, smart enough to be bell and crate trained in his old home. But the smart boy but does lack some confidence but it doesn`t take him much time to be a bouncing happy boy! At around 90lbs, Bluey will need a loving person to step up that can handle such a large boy. While he has been at the shelter, Bluey has met a lot of people, including children and other dogs. But he`s also found a new love, water. Bluey would much rather drink from a garden hose or fountain than a bowl.Help Bluey find his forever home today!Adoption Information ~*Dane*4 years old*Neutered*Current for yearly vaccination *Microchipped*About 91lbsApply at https://lakelandanimalshelter.org/adopt/adoption-profile-online-form/dog-adoption-form/

Story
Meet Zeus, our lovable Great Dane who is nearly 2 years old and still has that playful spirit of a big puppy! This goofy giant doesn’t quite realize just how big he is! Weighing around 130 pounds, Zeus can sometimes be a bit clumsy, knocking over anything in his path (especially when he really wants to say hello!) Zeus is also quite vocal; he loves to express himself with his happy barks or chatty howls or whining complaints, especially when he’s excited, wants your attention , has to do something he doesn’t want to (this is when the complaints start), or is playing with other dogs! His silly personality and expressive nature will keep you entertained and ensure you never have a dull moment. Zeus is good with cats as long as you’re ok having to frequently remind him that cats really don’t want to play with puppies that are 12x their size! He is good with other dogs as long as the other dog is ok with Zeus’s rough and tumble play style and that he is VERY vocal when he plays Zeus is a little much for small kids and small kids are a bit much for Zeus, he does ok with older kids, >12yo up. Zeus is a loyal companion who really just wants to be wherever you are! If you're ready to welcome a big-hearted boy into your life, apply below!! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SCGM/Dog

Story
Meet Beefcake, a goofy and HUGE 1-year-old male Great Dane who's looking for his best human buddy. Beefcake is a big guy with a big heart. This giant is affectionate at home and adoringly leans on his humans, but he's still learning to navigate his size. Beefcake is deaf, which means he relies on visual cues for communication. He's nervous meeting new people on leash, but is friendly once he gets to know them. Beefcake has some territorial tendencies and is currently working with our professional dog trainers to address these behaviors. He needs someone who’s willing to be consistent with training, work with the tools he requires and be patient as he learns and progresses. He enjoys being around other dogs, but cats are not his thing. Beefcake must go to a home with someone who has experience with very large dogs and is willing to continue his training journey. His ideal home is with a single adult or adult couple — no children, please, due to his size and training needs. If you're ready to give Beefcake the guidance and attention he needs, he'll be a loyal companion in return. This beefy boy needs an experienced owner and a lot of love, structure and patience—could it be you? Ready to meet Beefcake? Come see how this big bundle of joy can fit into your home. To ask about Beefcake, please contact us directly by calling 847-338-3252 or emailing info@redemptionroadinc.org. _____ Redemption Road Rescue Rehab Behavioral Dog Adopter Support Program As a rescue specializing in behavioral rehabilitation, we deeply value adopters who open their hearts and homes to our behavioral dogs. Story
A few years ago, this sweet girl was found dumped along the fence of our rescue! She was skin and bones and needed immediate help, so we named her MayDay. Our best guess is she around 6 or 7 years old and a Great Dane/ Staffshire terrier mix. She is very gentle, loves people, and really enjoys car rides. Mayday gets along with males, but is not very playful with other dogs. She would do best as the only fur baby in the home. Since she has been a kennel dog her whole life, MayDay is not pot trained so she will need a family who understands that. This dear girl would love a chance to live out her days in the comfort of a home with a family who will love her! If you want to give MayDay that chance, find us at https://www.tailsoftheforgottenpaws.org/ to fill out an application or on facebook (tails of the forgotten paws)

Story
Hi! My name is Fallon, a 4+ old female Anatolian Shepard mix. My family moved down south & thought it would be best I stay in Wisconsin for the chilly winters I love so much! I love going on walks and basking in the sunlight but honestly I`m an indoor girl at heart who would LOVE someone to cuddle up with during these winter months! I love adults and older children, but I am dog selective and would be happier being a single dog. I`m super sweet and cats don`t bother me at all!I`m a very smart girl who learns quick, especially if there`s treats to motivate me! I`m very gentle when taking treats and I know some basic commands like sit, come, down, wait, touch and focus!! I can even do puppy push ups!You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/JrsPupsNStuffInc Ask to meet me today!!
