Venus is an adorable, Great Dane mix who weighs about 109 lbs. She can be a little shy and timid at first, but once you give her a few treats, she is sweet and affectionate. She knows basic commands like `sit`, `down`, `paw`, `leave-it`, `watch` and more! She is potty-trained and crate trained. She is considered a medium energy dog, who is food motivated and very bright because she is picking up training fast! She would do best in a house without other pets. She is a sensitive girl who is working hard on her dog reactivity training during walks! She is a good dog who will stare into your eyes lovingly and give little kisses. She is also a good office companion while her foster mom works from home! Hi, my name is Rain. I have stormy gray eyes and my ears have color patterns that look like lightening bolts. When I drink water, there's a monsoon! I am going to be 2 on April 21, 2026. I am a very loving and gentle giant but I'm still a puppy and can get excited. I don't realize my size and think I can fit on your lap. Sometimes I have a hard time with other dogs, I live with another female and at times we just don't see eye to eye. I have not lived with a bigger male dog so I'm not sure how I would feel. I like being the center of attention and would thrive best alone. I am crate trained, house trained and I have done very well learning basic obedience. I currently have a fenced yard where I love to be. I love walks and walk very well on a leash. I am food motivated so having a training pack helps me because I know it's there, I have a good sniffer. I love toys, though the indestructible type is best for me because I will tear apart little stuffies. That's not good for me.

A few years ago, this sweet girl was found dumped along the fence of our rescue! She was skin and bones and needed immediate help, so we named her MayDay. Our best guess is she around 6 or 7 years old and a Great Dane/ Staffshire terrier mix. She is very gentle, loves people, and really enjoys car rides. Mayday gets along with males, but is not very playful with other dogs. She would do best as the only fur baby in the home. Since she has been a kennel dog her whole life, MayDay is not pot trained so she will need a family who understands that. This dear girl would love a chance to live out her days in the comfort of a home with a family who will love her!
