Hi I’m Hatch. I’m a 2 1/2 year old Great Dane mix. I am completely potty trained and crate trained. I know sit and paw. I’m a little shy when first meeting so please take it slow and let me come up to you so I can be more comfortable. As I’m shy, no kids for me in the home. I love to play fetch but I admit I don’t always bring it back. Sometimes it’s more fun to turn it into a game of catch me if you can. Im a big boy at 100 lbs so will need appropriate space. No apartments. Fenced in yard would be even better but not required. My perfect home has carpet or lots of rugs as I think hardwood floors are scary. I take treats very gently and will sit for them. I have lived with other dogs before, so another large dog at home would be fun. Do I sound like a good match so far?? If so, request to meet me. Meet Sven! Sven is approximately 10-12 weeks old and is thought to be a possible Great Dane/American Staffordshire Terrier-type mix. We cannot know for sure without a DNA test, but he appears to be a mixture that could reach over 60lbs when he's full grown. Sven is such a lovable pup! He's goofy, clumsy, and curious. He wants to meet and inspect everyone and everything he sees, and is proving to be incredibly social! While he's not going to be fully housetrained for a while, he's already doing a great job keeping his kennel clean and doesn't fuss when he's in the kennel, which will be great moving forward with crate training! Crating a puppy like Sven will be helpful not only during the potty training, but also to help keep him safely contained when he's not supervised. Sven's new family should expect all things that come with having a puppy in the world - this includes things like teething/biting, chewing, training, exercise, socialization, and more training! This will be especially true once he reaches that teenage/adolescent phase (6 months - 18 months) when puppies can be the most challenging. Big Shawn is a lovable couch potato, he enjoys going on walks and cuddling up on the couch. He would do best in a home where he gets a lot of attention and love. He doesn’t know his size he believes that he is a lapdog and can easily knock down little kids so a home with older kids or no kids would be perfect for him. He is need his joints looked at more often as he gets older, he broke his leg at 6 months and had to get surgery and metal plates put in but during the X-rays they found out that his joints aren’t fused together like they should be which means as he gets older could cause some issues but so far has not caused him any issues. One thing to keep in mind is in the winter when it is really cold outside he will limp on the leg that he broke since the metal plates get so cold but as soon as he’s back inside he walks on it perfectly fine. He absolutely people and treats, well just food in general. I would like him to be in a home that has experience with Great Danes. 3 years old.
