Please make sure to read the narrative below our pet's photos as you will find a description of our pet with all we know about them, our adoption fee info, and you will find the link to do our online Adoption Application which is the first step in our Adoption Process!     Please read ALL below where you will find answers about the pet, our adoption fees and how to do our adoption application!   Pet Description:  Dixon is a 5-year old male Pyrenees/Shep mix, 125 lbs.  He came to us from an owner unable to care for him.  He is housetrained and a HUGE lover boy!  Likes to play with balls, does NOT like water.  He even helped save another dog by being a blood donor for an emergency case at a local vet!   DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).   The first step is to our Adoption Application here:  https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .   IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you.  Please make sure you have either added our email  (hselco@bellsouth.net)  to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe. Howdy do! My name is Buddy! I am a good boy that wants to find a new home. I was found waaaayyyy out in the county all alone! I was picked up by one of the nice Humane Officers. I was really glad for the ride, because I had an injured foot! Yikes! It really hurt! Fortunately, the deputy was able to get me the help I needed very quickly with a visit to the vet. OOoooooooo….it feels so much better now! The shelter not only took care of my foot, they also gave me all of my vaccinations, they tested me for heartworms and I was negative, they gave me a microchip, and they had me neutered. I am a two-year-old shepherd mix and I want to be your new family member!
