Story
Meet Lucy, a pup whose night-and-day transformation might bring tears to your eyes.  A few months ago when Lucy was found alone at an RV park, you wouldn’t have even recognized her. She was covered in mange, underweight and very uncomfortable. Thankfully a kind person kept her safe, sought medical help and never gave up on her. A foster home took Lucy in a month later. As her fluffy coat has continued to fill in, Lucy has also been doing internal work: learning to walk on a leash, learning to come into the house, learning to enjoy being petted. Lucy has made great strides and is now an absolute joy in a pint-sized package. She’s approximately 26 pounds at 7 months old and seems to be growing at a very slow pace. Her breed test showed that she’s a mix of large and small breeds. Great Pyrenees and Husky were the top two breeds, but she also had some small amounts of Chihuahua, rat terrier and miniature schnauzer. The breed test predicted her full grown weight could be as low as 33 pounds.  Lucy absolutely adores other dogs and would love a doggy companion in her forever home. She looks so happy when she’s outside playing a game of chase with her foster puppy friend Linus. But Lucy isn’t an overly energetic puppy, so even the old grumpy dogs don’t mind having her around.  Lucy will need a patient owner who will give her time to feel comfortable. New situations and new people still make Lucy nervous, but she has become very comfortable in her foster home where she takes naps on her back in hopes she might get a belly rub. Lucy now seeks out attention, but she would never jump on you trying to get it. She’s very polite and well behaved in the house.  Lucy is fully potty trained and loves being in her crate. It was her safe spot while she worked up the courage to fully incorporate into her foster family.  Lucy has had quite the journey, and we want to find a forever home that’s perfect for her. Please apply if you can give Lucy the heartwarming ending she deserves. Story
Yuki is a 3 year old 86 pound Great Pyrenees! He is being fostered in Huntsville,AL and is available for transport and the approved adopter will be responsible for the transport fee. Yuki was primarily raised as an indoor pup without other pup playmates, so exhibits some stress when alone. He has loved being at his foster’s with a big yard and other dogs to play with. He does well with dogs of all sizes and has quickly realized and become sensitive to the fact that he is too large for some of his 20 lb playmates, which is really good. He has become pretty gentle in his few weeks at his fosters, primarily because he gets a lot of outdoor play time. He does need a pup playmate close to his size that provides him a since of security. He has been diagnosed with a seizure issue and takes daily medication, levetirace, for it. His foster is still learning about him, but so far, he is just a great happy boy. If you are interested in adopting Yuki please fill out an application on our website forrescue.net. He is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Story
Dansby is a sweet, easygoing companion looking for his forever home. He loves the simple things in life—going for car rides, taking walks, exploring new places, playing outside, and curling up for a good nap after a day of adventure. Dansby is potty trained and enjoys being part of the family indoors. He’s an active, curious dog who loves to explore and can sometimes get himself into mischief, so he’ll do best with an owner who can provide guidance, consistency, and plenty of opportunities for exercise and adventure. Like many dogs, Dansby isn’t a fan of fireworks and can become nervous around loud noises. He also does not enjoy being in enclosed spaces and thrives in an environment where he has room to relax and feel comfortable. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who loves exploring, riding shotgun, and snuggling up for a nap, Dansby is your man! If you are interested in adopting Dansby please fill out the application on our website www.forrescue.net. He is being fostered in Huntsville AL
