Story
My name is Marley and I'm approx. 3 yrs old. I am a companion, friend, protector and life-changer. I'll add a dimension to your life that may be missing. I will work for you, guard you, keep you company and love you. When I arrived, I was battered and defeated. I was dealt a bad hand, but I responded with courage. I don't judge the folks who neglected and abused me. I don't hate. I don't discriminate and I'm trying not to hold grudges. I DO know how to love unconditionally, and that's all I want in return. Don't pity me because I am a rescued dog. Adopt me and let me walk with greatness by your side. Note: Great Pyrenees are considered a Giant Breed. The average weight can be 100lbs. or more. They bark, shed and have a wanderlust, so secure fences are a must-have. They are NOT off-leash dogs and a Pyr off-leash is called a "dis'a'Pyr". Some Pyrs do well with other dogs and some don't because by the virtue of the breed traits they were bred to keep out intruders and can consider some dogs as intruders. While they make wonderful pets and family dogs, they aren't for everyone so be sure to understand and learn about the breed traits of this breed or any breed you might be considering.

Story
Hello, my name is April. I must have done something wrong! I've been here at the rescue too long. All I want is to be your best friend and have a family of my own. The rescue lady says I'm a GREAT dog. Granted I want to be the only dog in the family, but hey....if you waited as long as I have, you wouldn't want to share either. However, cats are OK! I’m 2-3 yrs old and was named that because April signifies Spring and Spring is about new beginnings. I had been pick up by a kill shelter because I got dumped in a rural location. I was transported to the rescue, cleaned up, spayed and brought current on all my vaccines and have settled in nicely. I've put on a little weight and I am happy and love everyone here. I am very loving and loyal and love to go for walks with my volunteers. I'm a little discriminating of new people at first, but warm up nicely. I need secure fencing and gates and I'm a good watch dog and know how to be a lady at the same time. Note: Great Pyrenees are considered a Giant Breed. Average weight can be 100lbs. or more. They bark, shed and have a wanderlust, so secure fences are a must have. They are NOT off leash dogs and a Pyr off leash is called a "dis'a'Pyr". Some Pyrs do well with other dogs and some don't because by the virtue of their breed traits they were bred to keep out intruders and can consider some dogs as intruders. While they make wonderful pets and family dogs, they aren't for everyone so be sure to understand and learn about the breed traits of this breed or any breed you might be considering.

Story
Meet Daisy, a dog with a heart as big as her personality. She has a sweet, gentle disposition that would melt the coldest of hearts. Daisy is mellow and enjoys the simple pleasures of life, like a good belly rub or a leisurely walk in the park. Her favorite pastime is cuddling up next to someone she loves, making her the perfect companion for those quiet nights in. Daisy's gentle nature and mellow demeanor make her the ideal companion for anyone seeking a peaceful and loving pet. Her sweet, cuddly nature is sure to bring warmth and happiness into any home. Daisy is not just a pet, she's a friend, a confidante, a source of unconditional love and companionship. She's waiting for a home where she can share all the love she has to give. Adopt Daisy, and let her fill your life with sweetness and joy. She doesn't always like her feet touched so we recommend that any children in her new home are age 5 or older so they can understand her boundaries. She prefers to be the only dog so we are requiring that there be no other dogs in her new home.Adoption Price: $350

******** THIS DOG IS NOT AT THE SHELTER******** THIS IS A COURTESY POST********CONTACT ROBERT RIOS AT (916) 307-1413********** This dog is no longer able to be housed due to the owner having unforeseen circumstances where he can no longer provide care. Koko has lived with other dogs and kids but seems to be a little fearful towards children. Koko enjoys playing out in the backyard and is vocal with people he sees going by. This is a great dog that loves to protect his home and is very loving once he is warmed up to you. He has all his vet records and would love a chance at a amazing new home. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
