Story
Meet Shine Bright Bear! She is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd, Aussie mix (based on her sisters DNA results) and is as smart as she is sweet. Shine Bright Bear's estimated DOB is 4/2025) and she is about 55lbs currently (7mos of age in 11/2025). She is incredibly intelligent and treat-motivated — the kind of pup who loves learning and aims to please! She’d thrive with an active family who enjoys adventures and wants a loyal companion by their side. Shine Bright Bear is fairly active and busy - she would love a home with another playful dog and activities to wear her out during the day. She loves to play fetch and needs a yard, so no apartments for her. Her fostermom thinks she would do fine with respectful kids due to her gentle nature. Shine Bright Bear is house and crate trained and did well when introduced to dog savvy kitties. She walks beautifully on leash, gets along great with other dogs, and has a gentle, loving temperament that makes her a wonderful fit for a family home. Whether she’s joining you for a hike or cuddling up after a busy day, Shine Bear will quickly steal your heart. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Meet Luna – A Loyal Lady Looking for Her Person Luna is a stunning, 6-year-old Great Pyrenees who has all the qualities we love in this breed: loyalty, affection, intelligence, and the belief that her human is her life’s mission. She’s a companion dog, not a livestock guardian, and she takes “guardian of my human’s soul” very seriously. Recently, Luna was adopted and returned a few days later—not because she’s a “bad dog,” but because the environment was just not right for her. Too much traffic, too many dogs zooming past, and not enough leadership sent her into protector mode. We also learned that when she senses uncertainty or mixed signals from a human, she may decide, “Don’t worry, I’ve got this!” (…and she definitely will take charge if someone doesn’t.) 🧠 Personality & Quirks 💕 Deeply loyal and loving to her chosen person 👑 Strong-minded, alpha personality that needs confident leadership 🐶 Does not want to share her home with other dogs 😺 Good with cats! 👧 Good with respectful, dog-savvy children 🎢 Not suited for suburban distractions and traffic excitement 🚫 Not a livestock guardian We suspect that because her previous owner died in the home, Luna may be especially protective of women and forms intense bonds—especially when she feels that someone needs her. 🌾 The Right Home for Luna Luna will thrive in a quieter, more rural or semi-rural home with fewer neighborhood distractions. She needs a calm, confident adult who appreciates her devotion and understands how to provide strong leadership. A retired or single woman who enjoys peaceful walks in quiet areas (where other dogs won’t greet her like long-lost friends) would be ideal. Luna LOVES: 🚗 Car rides 🚶‍♀️ Walks in serene places 🛌 Snuggling and loyalty naps 👩 Being someone’s soulmate… preferably one with good boundaries 😂 A Little Humor, Because Life With Luna Is Full of Personality: Luna believes in women’s rights, specifically the right to be protected at all times. She does NOT believe in car-chasing—she just wants to alert them that they’re driving too fast. She’s basically the speed-limit police. If you’re a strong leader, she’ll follow your commands like a queen’s knight. If you’re not… well, she’ll happily take your job. 🌙 If You’re Looking for… A loyal companion who will adore you A strong, intelligent dog with a heart of gold A guardian of your peace, your snacks, and your personal space …then Luna might just be the dog who chooses you. 📩 To meet Luna and find out if you’re her perfect person, contact us today.

Story
Lumos (Lu) is a beautiful 4-year-old mix (Great Pyrenees/Lab/Boxer) looking for her forever home. This sweetheart weighs 75 lbs and is the perfect blend of playful, cuddly, and independent. • Must Be an Only Dog: We have learned that Lu requires a home where she is the sole dog. She is much happier and stress-free without other canine companions, particularly female dogs. • Loves the Outdoors: She is an excellent rodent (squirrel) deterrent and absolutely adores spending time outside. She loves to play chase and tug! • Home & Family Life: Lu is completely house and crate trained. She is wonderful with school-aged children and is good with cats. She is a great alert system for outdoor disturbances but is generally mellow indoors. She also makes a great nap buddy and can be very cuddly. Lu is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. If you have the space, the love, and an only-dog spot on your couch, you should meet Lu!

Story
Meet Snowy Snowy is a people-loving girl who truly enjoys human companionship. She loves car rides and travels well with people, making her a great adventure or errand buddy. Snowy has no resource guarding issues with humans and is very good with people overall. She has no fear of loud noises and settles well around everyday activity.Important Notes About Snowyâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s Needs:Not cat-friendly â&#194&#128&#194&#147 Snowy has not been exposed to cats or chickens, but she will chase squirrels and small animals. Previous owner does not believe she would be safe with cats. Not livestock-safe â&#194&#128&#194&#147 Snowy has attacked goats on a few occasions and did break skin. She had no prior training or proper exposure to goats and was typically separated using an e-fence. Because of this, she should not be placed in a home with livestock.Dog selective â&#194&#128&#194&#147 Snowy has shown food aggression toward her brother. AO is unsure if she could live with another large dog, though it may be possible with very slow, structured introductions and completely separate feedings. A single-dog home would be ideal.Secure fencing required â&#194&#128&#194&#147 Snowy has been e-fence trained (no collar) and has lived behind hard fencing approximately 6 ft tall with an added barbed wire layer reaching 8 ft. She has never escaped or attempted to escape.Additional Info:â&#194&#128¢Facial scarring is from strangles as a puppyâ&#194&#128¢Raised inside/outside with her litter before AO acquired her as a larger puppyâ&#194&#128¢Enjoys companionship more than playIdeal Home for Snowy:Snowy would do best in a home where she can be an only pet, live indoors, and enjoy consistent human companionship. A secure yard is a must, and she should not be placed with cats, small animals, or livestock. She would thrive with adopters who understand management, boundaries, and appreciate a calm, people-oriented dog.Snowy is a loyal, steady companion who just needs the right environment to shine. ??January 20, 2026, 2:58 pm
