Story
Lumos (Lu) is a beautiful 4-year-old mix (Great Pyrenees/Lab/Boxer) looking for her forever home. This sweetheart weighs 75 lbs and is the perfect blend of playful, cuddly, and independent. • Must Be an Only Dog: We have learned that Lu requires a home where she is the sole dog. She is much happier and stress-free without other canine companions, particularly female dogs. • Loves the Outdoors: She is an excellent rodent (squirrel) deterrent and absolutely adores spending time outside. She loves to play chase and tug! • Home & Family Life: Lu is completely house and crate trained. She is wonderful with school-aged children and is good with cats. She is a great alert system for outdoor disturbances but is generally mellow indoors. She also makes a great nap buddy and can be very cuddly. Lu is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. If you have the space, the love, and an only-dog spot on your couch, you should meet Lu!

Story
Meet Shine Bright Bear! She is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd, Aussie mix (based on her sisters DNA results) and is as smart as she is sweet. Shine Bright Bear's estimated DOB is 4/2025) and she is about 55lbs currently (7mos of age in 11/2025). She is incredibly intelligent and treat-motivated — the kind of pup who loves learning and aims to please! She’d thrive with an active family who enjoys adventures and wants a loyal companion by their side. Shine Bright Bear is fairly active and busy - she would love a home with another playful dog and activities to wear her out during the day. She loves to play fetch and needs a yard, so no apartments for her. Her fostermom thinks she would do fine with respectful kids due to her gentle nature. Shine Bright Bear is house and crate trained and did well when introduced to dog savvy kitties. She walks beautifully on leash, gets along great with other dogs, and has a gentle, loving temperament that makes her a wonderful fit for a family home. Whether she’s joining you for a hike or cuddling up after a busy day, Shine Bear will quickly steal your heart. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

He’s a big sweetheart, around 18 months to 2 years old, who’s calm, cool, and totally into you—and yes, he’s bringing his sister Nora along! These two are a bonded pair, inseparable since their shelter rescue. Finn’s the strong and steady type—he’s not fazed by other dogs and even likes cats. He and Nora have been through tough times—think a glow-up from rough, skinny, and flea-ridden to totally groomed and ready to love. Now, they’re leash pros, cuddle champs, and sweet as can be. Finn and Nora are looking for a forever home with secure fencing—hey, every couple has their quirks! But once they feel safe, they’ll be loyal, loving companions. Story
Meet Aspen – Your Big, White, Loyal Shadow 🤍 If you’ve ever wished for a dog who thinks you are the best thing in the world… meet Aspen. Aspen is a neutered male Great Pyrenees youngster, about 12 months old and currently weighing in at 81 pounds — with every intention of getting bigger, fluffier, and more magnificent as he grows. 🌟 He is a people dog through and through. Aspen likes to be with his humans and will absolutely let you know if you leave without him — a little fussing, a little drama, and a whole lot of love. He truly believes life is better together. 🚗 Car rides? Yes, please. 🚶‍♂️ Walks? Love them. 👋 Meeting new people? Everyone is his friend. Aspen is a genuine sweetheart who charms everyone he meets. He has not a mean bone in his body and shows affection in the most endearing way — with gentle nose “boops” to remind you he’s right there for you. And here’s where he really surprises people… ✨ He knows how to sit, and even more remarkably for a Pyrenees, he often comes when you call his name. (Yes, really. Pyr people will understand how impressive that is!) Because Aspen is still a baby, he has lots of happy, playful energy, but the best part is that he’s easy to redirect. He wants to please. He’s eager, attentive, and learning fast — the kind of young dog who will thrive with guidance, consistency, and love. Aspen is: Loving and affectionate Social and friendly A great travel companion Gentle, sweet, and loyal A future big, fluffy best friend If you’re looking for a dog who will adore you, follow you, ride shotgun, and gently boop you just to say “I’m here,” Aspen might just be your guy. 💙 Ready to take this handsome boy home? Aspen is ready to grow up with his forever family.
