Story
Louise is a great Pyrenees and is about 4 years old. She is small for her breed, about 45 pounds, and many say she has the look and stature of a white Golden Retriever.  Louise is a very sweet and playful dog. She gets along with other dogs, but is more of a quiet soul, so would be best suited in a home where she is the center of attention. She loves to take walks and does well indoors.  She has spent over 2 weeks in training with Christina Sanders at Paws in Motion to build her confidence and refine her leash and obedience skills and she has done beautifully! Check out one of the videos of Louise practicing recall and off-leash obedience... https://videos.files.wordpress.com/SYdsFd8p/louise-vid-1.mp4 Thank you Paws in Motion for volunteering your time to work with Louise! NOTE: Despite her breed, she is NOT suited to be a livestock guardian dog...she just wants to hang with her humans. January 6, 2025, 1:47 pm

Story
Thelma is a beautiful Great Pyrenees mix approximately 4 years old. With her stunning white coat that resembles a Golden Retriever, she is sure to steal your heart. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all her vaccinations.  Thelma came to us very sweet but insecure. Channa with K9 Paw Patrol graciously volunteered her time to work with Thelma and what a difference she has made for her! Here are the comments she made on her Facebook page about working with Thelma... "Lets welcome our beautiful girl Thelma! Thelma comes from a rescue that works as a team and the closest family I have personally ever met to find these beautiful dogs homes. Thelma is a Great Pyrenees that looks a little bit like a husky but had a lot of low self esteem and confidence due to a very unforgiving background as to how she ended up in the rescue. She came to me in hopes that we could get her to open up a little bit and learn how to do something she had never known before...Trust, and show us the goofy girl we know she is. Thelma isn't too sure about new people and had a hard time adapting to new environments. Thelma came to me as a very skittish, shy and jumpy girl. In the few weeks of training, she gained confidence and started opening up a little bit. She started looking to me for guidance, instead of completely avoiding eye contact and began trusting me to show her the ropes. She needs someone who can give her the love, care, patience and kindness that she desperately needs." And here are some videos of Thelma in action... Walking on leash:  https://videos.files.wordpress.com/UtRub028/thelma-vid-leash-1.mp4 Confidence-building and impulse control at Home Depot: https://videos.files.wordpress.com/GMbLBGOI/thelma-vid-hd-1.mp4 https://videos.files.wordpress.com/9iZr133p/thelma-vid-hd-2.mp4 Thelma loves to go on walks and does well indoors. Thelma dreams of finding her forever home...an indoor haven with an active family who will take her on magical walks and adventures! NOTE: Despite her breed, Thelma is NOT a suited to be a livestock guardian dog. January 7, 2025, 10:23 pm

Story
This is Cosmo. He is 1.5 years old. He is great with kids, still a bit of a pup with energy but trained with sit and lay down in bed. He wants to hangout near his people laying down. He grew up with a cat, but has taken to annoying ours into being a front yard only cat avoiding him. He’s walked with a lead harness. He is great at being a guard dog alerting to people and animals. Loud very low barker but quiets when commanded fairly well. He does well sleeping if he’s being crated at night. He is not aggressive to kids or people. He is currently not fixed but scheduled to be neutered within the next month. He was house trained but most recently he has been solely outside due to a household member’s severe allergies.

Story
Hello, we are looking to rehome our family dog Bruno. He is a year old Great Pyrenees. He is an amazing dog and a gentle giant. He is very friendly with other dogs and loves kids as well. Unfortunately, our landlord has given us a few weeks to get rid of him due our small backyard. All we want is a good and caring home for him. We are looking for a small rehoming fee of $50. We want him to be loved and hope to find someone to keep him happy. He is also good with livestock such as sheep.

Story
******** THIS DOG IS NOT AT THE SHELTER******** THIS IS A COURTESY POST********CONTACT ROBERT RIOS AT (916) 307-1413********** This dog is no longer able to be housed due to the owner having unforeseen circumstances where he can no longer provide care. Koko has lived with other dogs and kids but seems to be a little fearful towards children. Koko enjoys playing out in the backyard and is vocal with people he sees going by. This is a great dog that loves to protect his home and is very loving once he is warmed up to you. He has all his vet records and would love a chance at a amazing new home. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
