Story
Lumos (Lu) is a beautiful 4-year-old mix (Great Pyrenees/Lab/Boxer) looking for her forever home. This sweetheart weighs 75 lbs and is the perfect blend of playful, cuddly, and independent. • Must Be an Only Dog: We have learned that Lu requires a home where she is the sole dog. She is much happier and stress-free without other canine companions, particularly female dogs. • Loves the Outdoors: She is an excellent rodent (squirrel) deterrent and absolutely adores spending time outside. She loves to play chase and tug! • Home & Family Life: Lu is completely house and crate trained. She is wonderful with school-aged children and is good with cats. She is a great alert system for outdoor disturbances but is generally mellow indoors. She also makes a great nap buddy and can be very cuddly. Lu is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. If you have the space, the love, and an only-dog spot on your couch, you should meet Lu!

To apply or learn more, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2025/11/11/sasquatch Meet Sasquatch – Your Gentle Giant in Training Available for adoption in the Sacramento area Sasquatch is a 14-week-old Great Pyrenees mix (potentially with Bernedoodle) and he is every bit as magical as his name. Think: giant teddy bear, soft cloud, and loyal best friend all rolled into one very fluffy puppy. About Sasquatch • Age: ~14 weeks • Breed: Great Pyrenees mix (possible Bernedoodle) • Sex: Male • Size: Will likely grow into a large dog • Coat: Soft, fluffy black coat with adorable white toes and chest Personality Sasquatch is a sweet, sensitive boy who loves being near “his” people. He’s a little soulful and thoughtful at first, taking in the world with big curious eyes, and then he melts into full-body wiggles and snuggles once he feels safe. He enjoys: • Following you around the yard and “helping” with whatever you’re doing • Gentle playtime with toys and people • Cuddling up against your legs once he’s tired out He’s still very much a puppy, so he’s in the fun stage of learning about the world—sniffing leaves, chasing after toys, and checking in frequently for reassurance and praise. Training & Home Needs Like most guardian/working-breed mixes, Sasquatch will do best with: • A family committed to training and socialization (positive reinforcement only) • Plenty of daily exercise as he grows – walks, play sessions, and mental enrichment • Space to stretch his legs – a yard is ideal, or an active household that can meet the needs of a large breed • People who understand that big fluffy pups grow into big fluffy adults and are ready for that lifelong commitment He’s working on all the basics a 14-week puppy is learning: potty training, socialization, etc. His new family should be ready to continue that foundation with patience, structure, and lots of love. Ideal Home Sasquatch would love: • A home that enjoys outdoor adventures and cuddle time in equal measure • Humans who are around enough to guide a young puppy through his day • Another friendly dog could be a bonus, but he’d also thrive as the center of attention ⸻ If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, future big floof to grow up with your family, Sasquatch might be your guy. He will be neutered next week & is up to date on age appropriate shots. $550 adoption donation includes neuter, up to date on monthly preventatives, age appropriate shots and microchipped Interested in adopting Sasquatch? 1. Complete form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. Adoption call 3. In-person meet and greet

Story
Meet Shine Bright Bear! She is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd, Aussie mix (based on her sisters DNA results) and is as smart as she is sweet. Shine Bright Bear's estimated DOB is 4/2025) and she is about 55lbs currently (7mos of age in 11/2025). She is incredibly intelligent and treat-motivated — the kind of pup who loves learning and aims to please! She’d thrive with an active family who enjoys adventures and wants a loyal companion by their side. Shine Bright Bear is fairly active and busy - she would love a home with another playful dog and activities to wear her out during the day. She loves to play fetch and needs a yard, so no apartments for her. Her fostermom thinks she would do fine with respectful kids due to her gentle nature. Shine Bright Bear is house and crate trained and did well when introduced to dog savvy kitties. She walks beautifully on leash, gets along great with other dogs, and has a gentle, loving temperament that makes her a wonderful fit for a family home. Whether she’s joining you for a hike or cuddling up after a busy day, Shine Bear will quickly steal your heart. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
