Lumos (Lu) is a beautiful 4-year-old mix (Great Pyrenees/Lab/Boxer) looking for her forever home. This sweetheart weighs 75 lbs and is the perfect blend of playful, cuddly, and independent. • Must Be an Only Dog: We have learned that Lu requires a home where she is the sole dog. She is much happier and stress-free without other canine companions, particularly female dogs. • Loves the Outdoors: She is an excellent rodent (squirrel) deterrent and absolutely adores spending time outside. She loves to play chase and tug! • Home & Family Life: Lu is completely house and crate trained. She is wonderful with school-aged children and is good with cats. She is a great alert system for outdoor disturbances but is generally mellow indoors. She also makes a great nap buddy and can be very cuddly. Lu is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. If you have the space, the love, and an only-dog spot on your couch, you should meet Lu!

🐾 Meet Appa Appa is a loving, loyal dog who forms strong bonds with his people. He is very gentle and affectionate and enjoys cuddling, sleeping near his person, and being part of a calm daily routine. When he meets new people, he can get excited and likes to “hug” as a way of saying hello. He does well on walks, transitions calmly on leash, and responds well to structure and guidance. Appa enjoys companionship, consistency, and having a space where he feels secure. Appa would thrive best as the only pet, or in a home without small dogs or cats. He is not dog-reactive on walks or outside the home, but he can become territorial with other animals in his personal space. He is a wonderful dog who deserves a home that matches his needs, ideally with experienced owners, older children or teens, and no small animals. Our goal is to find Appa a safe, loving home where he can fully settle in and be his best self.

Looking for a guard dog?? Milo is for you!! Milo is a 70 lb. 2-year-old Great Pyrenees Mix. He is VERY intelligent and trainable with formal obedience training. (Fuss, Platz, Here, Rug, Heel & more.) He is GREAT at walking on leash and wonderful at obeying his commands. House & crate trained as well. Milo loves to be outside and go on daily walks. He is very food motivated (He LOVES treats. =), good with car rides, low energy, nondestructive, & a GREAT guard dog!!! Takes time to warm up to new people and pets. His guardian breed tendencies are strong. Milo needs a new home that is better suited to his natural instincts & demeanor. (Not a good fit for a busy household with lots of kids or visitors like ours.) He would thrive in a home that is quiet with a consistent routine. Milo is very loyal & a wonderful guard dog! 🏡 He would be a GREAT guard dog for a family who has property or a farm.

Buddy is 1 year old, we adopted him through our local shelter when he was 5 months. We have had a drastic life change and cannot give him the time or attention that he needs and deserves. Buddy is a high energy loveable goofball. He thinks he is a lap dog, he will cuddle with you on the couch. He is kennel trained, and has been kept in the house .he knows how to sit, shake paw. He also is treat motivated. He is house trained, with a couple of accidents, but getting better. He is still rather young so wants to chew on everything, if you say leave it he will indeed drop the item. buddy Loves KIDS❤️, good with other dogs and cats. Looking for a family who can give him a lot of attention preferably with a big backyard. Buddy really is a gentle giant.

Meet one of our newest rescue, Palomita Palomita is a one year-old female mixed breed (Great Pyr, Aussie best guess). We rescued her this month from Yolo county shelter — unfortunately she had a bad upper respiratory infection and had to be admitted to UCD vet where she battled and is continuing to make a great recovery. She is currently being fostered in Sacramento with children. She loves people but due to her sickness has not been tested around dogs yet. She is housetrained & loves walks. Meet Echo – The Sweetest Deaf Australian Shepherd Puppy! Do you need a darling puppy to bring joy and love into your life? Echo might be just the one! This adorable 12-14 week-old, blue eyed, 18-pound Australian Shepherd is a stunning white and merle boy who looks like he’s purebred. Found dumped on the edge of town, Thankfully, a kind family has taken him in and are fostering him. Echo was likely abandoned because he’s deaf. But don’t let that stop you—he’s a quick learner and has already made incredible progress! He’s well on his way to being potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained. His foster family has even started training him with a vibration collar, and he responds beautifully to signals like flipping the porch light off and on to call him back when going outside to potty at night time. Echo is vaccinated, microchipped, and will be neutered and receive his rabies shot when he’s a little older. He’s looking for a family with breed experience and preferably familiarity with deaf dogs to help him thrive.
