Story
Salinas, CA – Meet Shelby Shelby is a beautiful 3-year-old Great Pyrenees who’s been with us for two wonderful years. We rescued her from a situation where her previous owner could no longer care for her. We,be realized Shelby would be much happier in a rural setting—somewhere she can roam freely and embrace her natural instincts to guard and explore. 🐾 About Shelby • Age: 3 years old • Temperament: Gentle, loyal, and protective • Great with kids – patient and affectionate • House-trained and well-behaved indoors • Enjoys car rides and walks • Loves the beach – does great off-leash • Natural guardian – ideal for land • Spayed and up to date on vaccinations Shelby isn’t suited for neighborhood living. She needs space, purpose, and a peaceful environment to thrive. We’re looking for a responsible, loving home where Shelby can live her best life. Story
Blanca was born on Nov. 11, 2023. She was a gift to my mother. Blanca is a very wonderful dog who loves people, hugs, dog parks, and training. She is content with just being with people. Blanca is great with other dogs due to her docile personality, but she also enjoys watching dogs play from afar. She is still easily trainable. For a young dog, she is mid-energy and is great for anyone who just wants to chill on a patio or outside a restaurant. She knows the commands: sit, paw, wait, eyes, and break. When I used to work part time, it was easy to take Blanca on walks and to the dog parks for my mom. However, I have a busier schedule now, and Blanca became a backyard dog. Since my mother does not have the energy to take her out, we are hoping someone, or a family, could adopt her and give her a better life she deserves. I grew up with a lot of backyard dogs, and Blanca is the first dog I have ever met that will get along with any human and any dog. She is the best.

Story
Meet sweet & affectionate Ruffles, a 10 month old male Great Pyrenees. In great health, neutered; all shots are up-to-date. This dog was abandoned after doing a terrific job watching over a small herd of goats over the summer. To date, he has only lived outside. Ruffles is very calm, super sweet, affectionate for this breed, and appears very bright! No known behaviors issues. He loves people and animals, is good with other dogs, and doesn't even mind cats. Loves to play & take walks. An extremely easy-going and even-tempered dog. Not a barker unless he perceives a threat. This active, 110 lb young dog will respond very well to training! He does need a job, which could be watching over his human family with the addition of other animals to take care of or as companions. Ruffles is a fabulous farm (or suburban) dog for a family who has the space for him to be active and yet will also ensure he is with his people. (Adoption fee will be donated to a Great Pryneese Rescue.)
