Looks like: Great Pyrenees Male, 9 years old (estimated), 118 pounds Will you consider giving a soft landing place for this beautiful, majestic boy? King is friendly with new people he meets and enjoys going for walks and basking in the sunshine. He likes playing with other mellow dogs he knows, but he"d also be fine being a one and only. King is low energy level and is happiest when following his humans around the house. An ideal home for King would be one that is looking for a loving, devoted companion. He is especially gentle with the young children in his foster home. King waits patiently for the 4 year old to come home daily, then follows him around. He also will allow the children to dress him up! What a sweet guy! Because King has a touch of arthritis, he would do best in a home without stairs. He does great around other dogs of all shapes and sizes. He tolerates cats, but isn"t particularly fond of them. King joined POMDR when his senior guardian became ill and was no longer able to care for him.

Meet Seamus! This Great Pyrenees mix came into the Shelter as a stray found on 129 in Santa Cruz County. He is estimated to be about 4 years old. We aren’t too sure of his life before the Shelter but have observed the following while he has been in our care: -easy going fella who has the occasional bouncy playful burst when hanging out in the fenced in exercise yards at the Shelter-met male and female dogs at the Shelter and have greeted, coexisted and, with some individuals, even played Seamus was recently neutered at the Shelter and ready to be someone’s BFF. We do not have any history of him with small animals, cats and/or livestock. A thoughtful, slow introduction may result in a successful cohabitation in his next home. Seamus may enjoy a canine companion. Any resident dogs are required to meet at the Shelter prior to adoption. We do not have any history of Seamus with children.
