Story
River was adopted from a shelter at 4 months old and was trained as a service dog. She's washing from service work because she's happier as a pet. She's fiercely loyal to her person and can be overprotective. She's sweet, loves to cuddle. Selective about what other dogs/cats she likes. River would be perfect for someone who loves to go biking. River has been trained to run alongside of a bike, even has direction cues! She's an excellent dog, just has some personality quirks and has chosen to opt out of service work. We love River so much and want to do best by her, we are sure the perfect person is out there.

Hi, I'm Princeton! Guess what? I would love to go home with you! I was a stray in King City when the SPCA rescued me. I am looking for a quiet home where I can relax in a sunbeam and be your faithful companion. I have excellent manners and know how to walk politely on a leash. To know me is to love me. Story
Looks like: Great Pyrenees Male, 9 years old (estimated), 147 pounds This calm and gentle giant will quickly become the king of your heart! This big fluffy guy is ready to make your home his throne! He is friendly with any human, big or small, and any canine too! King tolerates cats, but isn't particularly fond of them. This smart boy walks well on leash and knows basic commands. Because King has a touch of arthritis, he would do best in a home without stairs and that can help him get lifted into the car. King has put on a few pounds in his golden years but his foster family has been working on getting him fit as a fiddle! King joined POMDR when his senior guardian became ill and was no longer able to care for him.

Story
Lily is THE sweetest girl in the WORLD, just look at those big brown eyes and adorable smile! This poor babe was abandoned in the country, and we know this because she sat on the side of the road waiting for her people to come back. While it doesn't seem like she was ever abused, she was surely neglected. Lily totally ignores the cats and chickens at her temp foster home, but will chase deer away if they try to come onto their property. The only time she barks is when she knows it is dinner time, and she adorably howls along when she hears sirens. Her overall energy level is pretty even. She loves to run around but then is just as happy to plop down for a nap. This special girl deserves her forever home and happily ever after -- could it be with you??

Story
Meet Jackie (or as her foster house affectionately calls her “Jack-Jack” or “Ms. Kennedy”. This sweet gal came into the Shelter as an owner surrender and, after a brief acclimation period, has been a real sweetheart. She has lived with children in her previous home and did well. Although she had not lived with dogs, she interacted with them and was described as social. A canine companion may be a fit in her next home. We are learning about Jackie from her current foster family. They report: “Jackie is truly just happy to be here. She spends her afternoons relaxing outside and enjoying the breeze. She loves a good cuddle and is extremely intelligent. Jackie currently knows “sit”, “stay”, “down”, and “paw”. She is great on leash (even if one of her steps is 5 of ours) and sleeps in her crate at night. Jackie would be a great addition to any family.” If you are looking to meet a true socialite – set up an appointment to meet Jackie-O today!
