Story
Meet Frost, a 3-month-old Great Pyrenees mix weighing 19 pounds and already full of charm. This sweet pup is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate, always ready for a romp in the yard or a cuddle session with his favorite people. Frost loves to run, play with toys, and spend time with his canine friends. He does great with his brother, Yeti, as well as his larger foster sibling, and enjoys having a buddy to play with. When it’s time to settle down, he’s just as happy to relax and soak up attention from his humans. He’s making good progress on housetraining and is doing great with both crate time and being gated in a separate room, showing he’s off to a strong start with learning routines. Frost hasn’t been exposed to kids or cats yet, but he is a gentle, sweet-natured puppy who should do well with proper introductions. If you’re looking for a lovable, playful pup who’s already building great habits and has a lot of love to give, Frost may be the perfect addition to your family. His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Meet Yeti, a 3-month-old Great Pyrenees mix weighing 22 pounds and full of puppy charm. This sweet boy loves being part of the action, whether he’s playing in the yard, tossing around his favorite toys, or settling in with a good bone to chew. Yeti enjoys the company of other dogs and does well with his brother, Frost, as well as his larger foster sibling. He also loves attention from his people and is happiest when he’s getting pets and spending time with his family. He’s making progress with housetraining and is doing well when gated in a separate room. While he tolerates the crate, it’s not his favorite place, but with time and consistency, he can continue to build confidence. Yeti hasn’t been exposed to kids or cats yet, but he is a gentle, affectionate pup who should do well with proper introductions. If you’re looking for a lovable, playful puppy who enjoys both fun and affection, Yeti may be the perfect addition to your home. His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Hi, I’m Harper! I’m 18 months old, 60 pounds, and a great pyrenees mix. I am an independent lady who enjoys walks, spending lots of time in my backyard, and playing with other dogs (don’t worry I’m a gentle giant). I LOVE kids and would really like some loud little humans of my own. I’m scared of loud (nonhuman) noises and storms but I find safety and comfort in my crate. I currently live with a foster brother that’s a cat and we get along great. I DO NOT get along great with yard critters and will chase them. My foster mom has only heard me bark one time and that’s when sirens were near by. I never bark at the window like my wild foster brother does. I will whine to let you know I need to go outside and I haven’t had any accidents at my foster house! My ideal family will include children, a large fenced yard and lots of love. I’m very shy at first and get scared if you walk up to me but I will come to you for pets if you’re sitting and once I get comfortable. I need a large crate that you’d be willing to put in a common area so I have somewhere to go when I’m overwhelmed and to sleep in at night. Harper's adoption fee of $300 covers her spay, microchip with registration, vaccines, heartworm test(negative), and current monthly heartworm and flea preventions. To make this beautiful girl a part of your family please apply at gfrpets.org/apply.  ##2681736##

Story
Rocky is a 1-year-old male American blue heeler/great Pyrenees mix who is available for adoption at CCHS! Rocky was relinquished to us because his former family had taken him in as a stray and he wasn't adjusting to the other dog in the home. Rocky has had successful play dates with other dogs closer to his size and age at our facility, however. Rocky is a shy, strong-willed boy who appears to do better with women at this time. He is apprehensive of new people and would likely do best with slow introductions (and lots of treats!) With that being said, he does have his favorite staff here, and loves them dearly! He was also playful with young children in his previous home. It may take some time for him to warm up to you, but come spend some time with him and get to know him!
