Meet Wolverine, a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees mix weighing in at a handsome 75 pounds! He might want to sit in your lap and follow you around all day. This hunk sometimes jumps on people, so he'd do best in a home with older children. Wolverine is a big boy with an even bigger heart. He's the kind of dog who makes quite an impression, though getting a good photograph of him can be a bit of an adventure. Standing still for pictures? Why do that when there are people to hug and fascinating smells to investigate? Wolverine would much rather be leaning into his favorite humans for some love or following his nose toward his next great discovery. Despite his impressive size, Wolverine is a total love-bug who is happiest when he's soaking up attention and affection. He's affectionate, curious, and always ready to remind you that personal space is really just a suggestion. Wolverine is housetrained, although he may have a few accidents during his first week as he adjusts to his new home. Crates aren’t his thing, but his foster parents trust him to snooze loose in the house wherever he feels most comfortable. A fenced yard isn’t a requirement, but it would be a wonderful bonus for this big guy to stretch his legs and explore. Another dog for company would be good, too. When you're away from home, you may return to find a few things in different areas of the house. Wolverine likes to "rearrange the house," but never destroys anything. He just enjoys carrying items around the house! Wolverine's foster mom says he’s the sweetest baby and the most cuddly dog she’s ever had. He even gives hugs! If you’re looking for a big snuggle buddy who will happily soak up all the love you have to give, this boy may be your perfect match. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
