Story
We arent really sure whose idea it was to mix a Great Pyrenees with a poodle... but here we are. Meet Swiffer! Swiffer is a floofy and goofy guy who is happy as a clam with his people. He is friendly and sweet, though he can be a smidge shy when first meeting someone new. Hes a good companion and will keep you entertained. He loves people and does well with female dogs and most males too, though he can be a little selective with males. Swiffer will of course have grooming needs, so you will need to be ready to brush. A lot. And hair cuts will certainly be needed. He is currently a year and an half old and 60lbs. He is fully vetted and ready for a home! To adopt Swiffer, apply today at farfetcheddogrescue.org. Adoption fee: $250

Story
🐾 Meet Brodie! 🐾Brodie is a 1-year-old, 75-pound Great Pyrenees/Husky mix with a big personality and even bigger energy! This handsome guy is looking for an active home that can keep up with his adventurous spirit.✔️ Good with dogs, cats, and children✔️ Potty trained✔️ Walks fairly well on a leash✔️ Knows how to sit✔️ Loves attentionBrodie is a high-energy pup who does best after getting at least 30 minutes of exercise—once he’s had his run time, he settles in much better for handling and attention. He can be a bit stubborn when corrected, so he’ll need a patient and consistent owner who understands independent breeds.🚧 Important things to know:• Brodie is an escape artist and roamer—recommend a secure fence (8 ft does well for him) or other secure way to contain• Not good with poultry• Unknown with other livestockBrodie is scheduled to be neutered on 6/25 and will need to come back to the shelter for his appointment. If you’re looking for a fun, active companion and have the space and structure he needs, Brodie could be your perfect match!📩 Interested in meeting Brodie? Contact us or stop by to learn more!

Story
🐾 Meet Sir DH! 🐾Sir DH is a 9-month-old, 64-pound Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd mix who is full of energy, personality, and potential! This young guy came to us as a stray and is looking for a very experienced, structured home ready to help guide him into a well-mannered adult.✔️ Scheduled for neuter on 6/25 (adopter must bring him back for appointment)✔️ Not aggressive with other dogs✔️ Will respect a cat that sets boundariesSir DH is still very much a puppy in a big body. He has no formal training yet and will need consistent guidance, structure, and patience. He is extremely high energy and will require a proper outlet to burn that energy daily.🚧 Important things to know:• Escape artist — will require secure, escape-proof confinement• Dog interactions are immature — he may bark and grab at the back of another dog’s neck (puppy behavior), so any dogs in the home must be very tolerant and patient• Required to meet all dogs in the home prior to adoption• Best suited for a home with no children or older children only due to jumping and overwhelming behavior• Needs a firm, experienced owner who can provide structure and trainingSir DH has a lot of potential in the right hands, but he is not a beginner dog. With the right leadership, exercise, and training, he can grow into an incredible companion. If you’re ready for a challenge and want to invest in a young dog who needs guidance, Sir DH may be the one for you!📩 Contact us or stop by to meet Sir DH!

Story
Meet Daisy Mae, a one-year-old Lab/Pyrenees mix who has already been through so much in her short life. Daisy was found lying beside a rural road, likely after being struck by a car. She had no microchip, and sadly, no one came forward to claim her. When she arrived at the shelter, it was clear Daisy needed urgent medical care. X-rays revealed multiple fractures in her front left leg, and she also suffered two large lacerations beneath her shoulder and chest. Despite her pain, Daisy has remained calm, gentle, and full of loveher tail still wags every time she sees a kind face. After consulting with our veterinary team, we learned that surgery would be necessary due to the severity of her breaks and resulting nerve damage. After a long recovery, Daisy Mae has officially been cleared! Now thriving in her foster home, Daisy is calm, gentle, and incredibly affectionate. Shes a true model houseguest who loves being around her people and greets every friendly face with a wagging tail. Daisy is still a young, curious girland a bit of an athlete! She has shown she can jump a 4-foot fence, so shell do best with a secure yard and 6 foot fence or supervised outdoor time to keep her safe. Shes also quite vocal and likes to chat, which means she may not be the best fit for apartment living or homes with close neighbors who prefer a quieter dog. Daisy Mae is ready to leave her past behind and start her next chapter with a loving forever family. If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website at arporescue.org to learn more about our adoption process and complete our adoption application. ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis. We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.

Story
Meet Mabel! Mabel is a sweet, playful girl around 1 year old who hasn’t had the easiest start in life—but none of that has dimmed her spirit. Through patience, consistency, and a whole lot of love, she has truly blossomed into a wonderful companion. Mabel is deaf, but don’t let that fool you—this smart girl is already learning hand signals and picking up on routines at the rescue like a pro. She’s eager to please and thrives when she knows what’s expected of her. She absolutely adores her people and loves being close to them… but if there’s a dog friend around, it’s game on! Mabel is a playful, energetic pup who enjoys wrestling and goofing around with other dogs. Because she’s still figuring out just how big she is, her play style can be a little rough at times—but she’s quickly become a favorite among the other dogs at the facility. Mabel has been working hard on her mouthiness and has made incredible progress in a short amount of time. With a little time to decompress, she settles into a calmer, more easygoing version of herself. This special girl is looking for a home that will continue to give her structure, guidance, and lots of love so she can keep growing into her best self. She’s come so far—and now she’s ready for a forever family and a place she can truly call her own. *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt *Please note that we do not operate on a first come first served basis
