Story
Location: Minneapolis, MN Houston is on the shyer side that takes some warming up to new people! Once he gets comfortable, he is the sweetest man that just wants cuddle time. He is obsessed with really fluffy beds and will gladly have a lazy day with you! He is good with other dogs and doesn’t even notice the cats. He is not house trained, crate trained or leash trained. A slow feeder would be beneficial for him as eating his meals is always a race! He is very much still a puppy! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Story
Location: Rockford, MN This precious girl is a gentle, curious puppy with the sweetest little heart. She may be a bit shy at first, but once she feels safe, her curiosity and intelligence shine through. She’s doing amazing with potty training and is clearly a smart cookie who wants to do things right. We've learned she is very food motivated - a treat or even some kibble pieces go a long way! She's figured out she needs to go to the door to go outside and can hold it through the night with a sprint outside in the morning! She loves observing the world around her, taking it all in before jumping in—and that quiet confidence makes her extra special. She loves playing with her brother, the resident dog and kids. We can count on her wrestling her puppy brother and then trotting over to our kids to cuddle up for a nap. She really has the best balance of play and snuggle in her. With a little patience and lots of love, she’ll blossom into the most loyal, loving companion. Picture her following you around as you go about your day, always just a step away. If you’re looking for a puppy who will bond deeply and grow alongside you, she’s your girl 💕 --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Meet Todd! Todd, AKA Archie is the definition of a playful puppy—full of energy, curiosity, and love. He adores running around outside, playing fetch, and chasing after balls or rope toys. Here’s a cute video of Archie playing outside. When playtime winds down, he’s just as happy to curl up with you for some snuggles. Archie is working on his potty training and doing well with his kennel, though he’d prefer to be out where the action is. He’s great with other dogs and would thrive with a canine playmate, but he could also be happy as a single dog with an active family to keep him entertained. This handsome boy is a social butterfly who loves meeting new people. With his striking brown and blue eyes and irresistible puppy charm, Archie is sure to steal your heart. Archie is from a local impound. *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*

Story
Hachi, a handsome boy who recently celebrated his 3rd birthday, is searching for his forever family! This sweet pup arrived with his previous owners as a young puppy and quickly bonded with his "person." Due to life changes and his love for a good chase game with cats, Hachi is now seeking a home where he can truly thrive. Having grown up with children of various ages and now enjoying the company of two teenagers in his foster home, Hachi is a proven family dog. He's also learned to play wonderfully with his foster siblings, a senior black lab and a young Pyr/Lab mix! Hachi is a dream indoors. He's fully potty trained and absolutely loves his kennel, which he considers his safe haven. He knows basic commands like "sit" and enjoys a good belly rub above all else. This snuggle bug is happy to be your gigantic lap dog, or simply lounge beside you on the sofa, as long as he’s getting some attention! He can be a little timid initially, but warms up quickly, eager to give kisses. Outdoors, Hachi shines! His previous family says he adores the snow, especially jumping into snow piles. He loves a good game of chase with older kids and would thrive in a home with a big yard to run and play. We're working on leash manners, but this smart boy will catch on fast! Hachi does have a sensitive stomach and does best on a consistent diet. If you’re looking for a devoted, playful, and snuggly companion who will fill your home with love (and maybe a little friendly jealousy for pets!), Hachi is your guy!

Story
Nick Wilde was found living in a culvert in Texas with his mother and siblings before coming into rescue. Nick is playful, affectionate, and full of puppy antics that keep his foster family laughing. He enjoys toys and walks on a leash, though he will need continued training as he grows. Like most puppies, he can be vocal when excited and playing. Nick is going to be a large, energetic dog, so he needs a home prepared for a big boy with lots of enthusiasm. Regular exercise, structure, and time invested in training will be key to helping him grow into a well-mannered adult. With the right guidance, Nick Wilde will be a loyal and joyful companion. Nick Wilde is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 03/07/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue.
