You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Diesel is a 3yr old large, Great Pyrenees and Cane Corso mix. He was saved from an animal control facility, where he was set to be euthanized the next day. He was initially found as a stray, so the rest of his history is unknown. Diesel loves to roll over for tummy scratches, play fetch, and snuggle with you in your chair! He also enjoys being outside in fenced in yard. He does well in 6ft fenced in yard, with no digging or trying to escape. He does not liked to be in a crate, but does better in an outdoor type dog kennel. He has been working on his leash walking manners as he gets excited when he sees other dogs. Diesel has done well meeting people and older children. Small, younger children not recommended due to his large size and playfulness. He has been introduced to a cat, but slow introductions and supervision be advised with any resident cat to ensure they get along. Diesel is dog selective. He has done well with dogs 40+ lbs. He has enjoyed the company of certain dogs with no issues, but then has not gotten along with others. A meet-and-greet is necessary with any current dogs in potential adaptor’s home. Introducing Kit: part Great Pyrenees, part Doberman, and 100% professional weirdo. She’s about three years old, has legs for days, and a nose that works overtime like a tiny detective on an endless case. Kit has gone from “stranger danger” mode to “sniff your hair while you’re watching Netflix” mode, and that’s what we call progress. Her daily routine is very official: three laps around her kennel like an Olympic track star before dinner, followed by stealing the couch or your bed because, honestly, she’s royalty and crates are for peasants. She’s learning that humans = belly rub dispensers, and she’s totally here for it. Kit is a huge fan of dogs, though she sometimes comes in a little too hot on first introductions (think: bossy camp counselor vibes). Once she knows who’s in charge, she’s good to go, and she’s the best babysitter for puppies. What she is not into? Cats, chickens, birds, squirrels, or basically anything small and fluffy that isn’t her designated sibling. For those, her prey drive kicks in and—let’s just say—it’s a hard no. She’s obsessed with running, but luckily, she’s not a fence-jumper. A nice sturdy yard is her dream stage for zoomies. When she’s not sprinting, she’s all about long walks, soft toys, and claiming furniture like it’s her birthright. She’ll even listen to “leave it” when she’s yelling at the neighbors, which is basically the dog version of good manners. Kit is still a little shy at first, but once she warms up, you’ll find a goofy, loyal, slightly dramatic best friend who makes the small victories (like coming when called) feel like winning the lottery. She’s been waiting long enough—this couch hog is ready to claim your couch and, more importantly, your heart. Mark is a 3 month old Pyrenese-mix puppy with the most striking brindle coloring on his face and body! Mark is the kinda guy you cannot help but love. His foster family took one look at him and fell in love. He needed love, too. He hadn't been loved and cherished much until he came into rescue but his foster family has made up for that. He was shy and skittish when he first came but now he is opening up to them and asking for endless belly rubs. He is still a bit scared of stairs and doors but we think he will get the hang of it all very soon. He is a puppy, afterall. He did not like the idea of "walks" his first day, but by day 2, he was strutting his stuff down the street with the other dogs. While he is not potty trained, we think he would take to it quickly. He sleeps all night long in his puppy pen with a puppy friend. It will not be long before he can sleep all night without a potty break. Meet Goose! He is a total sweetheart but we’re making the very difficult decision to re-home him. Goose turns 2 at the end of April – he is 98 lbs.; neutered, microchipped, crate trained (sleeps in one every night and doesn’t bark in it) and fully up to date on all shots. He is a happy, eager to please and goes to doggy daycare once a week and loves socialization. We have young kids (2&4) and live on a property that is constantly sending him into GP alert mode (coyotes and other wildlife). He has never harmed anyone, but the unpredictable nature of little kids around is tough with his size and puppy like behavior when he is excited or overstimulated. He would do well with older kids. He spends most of his day sleeping while we work from home and I’ve never known a dog who loves to cuddle as much as he does. He would do well in a home w dogs who like to play or as a solo dog. Highly recommended someone with GP experience. Happy to provide more on his background/ answer questions!
