Great Pyrenees puppies and dogs in Minnesota

Beauty is a female Great Pyrenees mix - she is 2-3 yr old, weighs 50-55#, and has beautiful blue eyes!! She is coming up to MN on Sunday, June 28, and needs a foster home - can you help? She is currently in a temporary, out-of-state foster home, so we do have some information I can share with you. Beauty appears to be housebroken no accidents when she in her crate or when loose in the house. Sleeps in her crate overnight. Not much interest in toys. Enjoys meat jerky treats, but not food motivated. Beauty chews on paper and cardboard, and has NOT chewed her bed or any soft items. Leash trained, but doesn't know any commands. Doesn't react to dogs she meets on walks. No experience with cats or with kids - she does have an even keeled disposition, and we expect she would be fine with respectful kids 8 yr and up. Friendly meeting new people. She's a calm, laid back dog who is content to lounge in the yard (when it's cool enough) or nap on the wood floors when she's loose in the house. She's a picky eater (often eating only part of her meal in one sitting) , and seems to be a social eater, so likes to have her person nearby when she eats. Beauty is spayed and vaccinated. This beautiful, loving girl is Ella a 3 yr old, 98# female Great Pyrenees (or mix) . She is sweet and loving with people, good with dogs and cats - we haven"t seen her with children, but with her nice temperament we expect she would be good with respectful kids 5 yr and up. Her foster mom works from home, and puts Ella outside at 4-6 hr intervals Ella doesn't ask to go out to do her business. Not a chewer, doesn't initiate barking but might join in if one of the resident dogs bark. Sleeps on the floor in your room, and doesn't go up on the furniture. Loves to ride in the car just lays down until you get to your destination (which she hopes is the dog park, where she can run and play with all the dogs that are there). Ella sits on command, comes when called, and doesn't pull on leash. She is fine being brushed, and isn't shedding much at all. No interest in playing with toys. Not a chewer. Ella is calm, easy going, and eager to please. Puts her head in you lap, or gives you a paw when she needs attention. Ella attaches to her person quickly, and is devoted to them, which is ideal in most situations, but Ella has separation anxiety. Her adoptive home must have another friendly dog, and we recommend Ella bond with that dog before she forms that tight bond with you... we can give you tips on how to do that, and that way Ella wont feel so abandon when you leave the house. Her person should be home much of the time retired, or work from home. This is manageable, and she is doing well in her current foster home. Ella has been spayed, and is current on distemper, rabies, lepto and Bordetella vaccinations. A heartworm test was positive, and she was treated for that in May. A recheck heartworm test will be needed in 6-9 months (October of this year-January of next year) , and Second Chance will cover that cost at your clinic. You are welcome to take/use the large plastic crate she is accustomed to, and return it to Second Chance when you no longer need it. Her microchip is registered to Second Chance. Jamie is an adorable Great Pyrenees mix puppy born 3/13/26.  After a bath, she is bright white but after a good play session in the dirt, she is more of a light tan. Like most puppies, she loves all people and dogs and is definitely on the more outgoing side. As far as puppies go, she is usually pretty calm and content to play in the yard with a bone or her sister all day long. She walks on a leash like a champ and loves getting to smell new scents along the way. A long walk does tire her out, though. At night she sleeps in a pen with her sister and does not make a peep until we wake her in the morning. She loves to go to the baseball field with her foster family and meet new people and dogs. Since she is still quite young, she is not potty trained but she does not have accidents in the house when she is on a schedule. We think she is pretty perfect all around. She is slightly more timid than her sister but she’s still very friendly. As far as puppies go, she is usually pretty calm and content to play in the yard with a bone or her sister all day long. She does well on walks and in the car. A long walk does tire her out, though. At night she sleeps in a pen with her sister and does not make a peep until we wake her in the morning. Remy is almost 5 years old. She’s a very sweet, generally mellow, yet youthful and silly dog. She really enjoys a good lounge-around day outside. But she absolutely loves walks, car rides, and exploring! She does mostly okay with leashes - loving walks, she can get rather excited and impatient. She originally grew up with another dog and many young kids, so she’s pretty well acquainted. Although only when on a leash, she does bark at other dogs. She also has become a bit adverse to and sometimes barks at louder sport motorbikes and dirt bikes. She’s been dogsat with cats, dogs and young kids as well, and has always gotten along really well. She loves bully sticks and bones to chew on. She doesn’t tend to play with toys on her own, but she’ll entertain them if you’re playing along. She really is a sweet girl.

Ryder is big, fluffy & beautiful. He's good with dogs & loves people. Likes to wander & will go over fences to check out what's on the other side- TYPICAL PYR!! Very gentle and could be a perfect couch potato with occasional patrols around the fence to make sure its still secure- TYPICAL PYR!! Leash & crate trained, great great boy!!!
