Freya is a 4 year old, 100 pound, Great Pyrenees/Doberman mix with a sweet and silly personality. She is incredibly smart, easy to train, and very loyal to the people she loves. She loves long walks, camping, and basking in the sun during the summertime. She would do very well with an active owner as she is a big girl with a lot of energy. She is very loving, and despite her size, she is a great snuggler. Freya will thrive in a home where she is the only pet and gets lots of exercise. She currently has a fenced in yard, so that would be preferred, but as long as she is getting sufficient exercise she will be just fine without. Freya is house trained, kennel trained, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on flea and tick prevention. Freya cannot live with another dog due to her resource guarding, but she does well socially with other dogs. She has less patience for puppies or dogs who jump around close to her face, but she plays well with dogs who match her energy. She does very well at doggy daycare and boarding. Freya will not be suitable for a home with cats or small animals that roam. She has never lived with children, but any time she has interacted with kids, she has been sweet and gentle. Freya has a recessed vulva which results in incontinence and makes her more susceptible to UTIs. She has been on Proin daily since she was a puppy and has not had a single accident since being on this medication.

I am fostering Bear through an animal rescue called Pawportunities, located in Blue Springs, Missouri. Bear was rescued from living on a chain and being starved. He has gained thirty pounds since coming to stay with me.Bear has allergies so he takes a daily allergy pill which is very easy if you hide it in a peanut butter sandwich. He was nearly starved to death so he loves food.Bear would be great at protecting livestock and would love to live somewhere with some land. He loves to bark and will chase anything out of our yard. But he has no problem with other animals living in my home and he does wonderful with children.Bear is very chill, he naps all day and loves being off of that chain, he loves affection. He is also very obedient and goes right into his kennel when I go to work but can be left loose in the house for short trips.If you're interested in adopting Bear, please fill out an application on Pawportunities.com. We adopted Tallulah from a local shelter a couple of weeks ago and just discovered that she can jump our 4 ft fence, which is the main reason for rehoming. She has a sweet disposition, is very friendly with people (have not had her around children yet), but gets excitable and reactive around certain dogs. She is house trained, follows basic commands including “sit” and “down”, is a non-finicky eater who takes treats gently and shows no signs of resource guarding. She loves to run around in our yard, enjoys at least two active 30 minute walks a day (could definitely keep pace with a runner). For those familiar with the Great Pyrenees breed, she does alert bark sporadically throughout the day, usually when dogs are being walked in front of our house, and occasionally at night. For those reasons in particular, she is not suited for apartment living. She’d do best in a house with a big yard w/a 6 ft fence or in a rural setting. We hope to find a loving home for this great girl.

Remi is a sweet beautiful and affectionate family dog. She is an indoor dog and crate trained. He loves to be outside and inside both. She's very loving and loves to be free and run. You would need some yard space or a privacy fence. She's jumped our chain link fence a couple times just wanting to be closer to where we are. She is a great guard dog but not over vocal. She loves kids and other dogs. She is super cat curious and we have cats inside as well and she does fine. She is 5 years old. Her shots were due at the end of June and we have not been able to update them yet. She has always had her shots and been on flea meds up until then. We have some family medical issues and financial strain otherwise we wouldn't consider letting her go.Reach out, we would love for you to meet her!

Islay (pronounced "eye-luh") is a sweet, snuggly, senior girl who is looking for a new home. We adopted her when she was 1 in 2018 from a rescue in Raleigh, NC. She moved with us to Kansas City in 2024 where she was delighted to find out we get snow in the winter! Islay loves to snuggle up on the couch, spend lots of time outside, and make sure all her people are safe. She's great with kids, other dogs, and cats. We're looking for a new home for Islay where she'll get the time and attention she needs.
