Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hi, I'm Lane. I am a two year old girl who has enough energy to power the entire state of NC. I've been at my foster mom's for almost two years. I did get adopted one time but unfortunately that family was not ready for my energy. I'm really good in my crate during the day while foster mom is at work. I sleep in my crate at night as well. I also express my opinion when I'm crated and something else is happening in the house. I have strong FOMO!I may not look it, but my foster mom.had my DNA tested and I am Great Pyrenees, along with some staffie and some pittie. When they rescued me and my siblings, my siblings looked a lot like cattle dogs... They had the spots and everything. These long legs like to run lots of zoomies around the yard. They also help me jump like a kangaroo. A high fence maybe necessary to contain my excitement. I would do best in an active household, with no small kids and no small animals. I do have a strong herding instinct. My foster mom has a cat that I really like to put in my mouth. I don't think the cat appreciates it very much. But I find it a lot of fun. I don't have to be the only dog in the household, but the other dog should probably be my size or a little larger and most likely a male dog. I seem to get along best with them. No girl drama! I can also be very protective of my stuff - food and toys especially. I don't like sharing them with other dogs. I am also the BEST guard dog - maybe a little too good. I want to alert you that you just let a stranger in the house and I have to go into protector mode. I am still learning that not everyone is trying to sell us solar panels and I don't need to be so mean sounding to foster mom's guests. Foster mom says they're getting ready to bring in a trainer to work with me. The trainer is supposed to help with my manners and get me ready for a really good family. I think I'm perfect just the way I am, but I understand we could all use a little fine tuning. If you are a dog savvy family that is willing to work with training and help me become the best dog ever, please put in an application. I would love to find my forever home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 24, 2023, 9:27 pm
