Story
Meet Tortellini!! Tortellini is not only big in size but, also big in personality!! This 5 month old Pyrenees mix has the sweetest temperament. He loves children, other dogs, not sure about cats, but I honestly think he would be fine. He would really benefit from a fenced yard due to his breed and another confident dog that can show him the ropes. He’s a shy boy that warms up very quickly. His large size for such a young age makes him very goofy. and  clumsy. but he laughs at himself.  He’s all legs and personality. Enjoys roughhousing  and finding tree trunks to haul in with foster sibling Stella. They are clearing the forest into my back yard. Tortellini is quite the cuddlebug and enjoys his comfortable bed and plush blankets. He will make a great addition to your family.  Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. Story
Meet our gentle giant Yeti! Yeti is a big fur ball who loves a good snuggle on a comfy bed. This guy is as laid back as it gets since, he doesn't play all that often. Mr. Yeti is house trained and very sociable with all people that he meets. Since he is a pyrenes mix, he has quite a bit of hair but not to worry because he does amazingly at the groomer! Yeti prefers to have all the attention for himself so when he is with the person he loves he doesn't care to bother anything else. Yeti has met and likes farm animals, as his breed usually does, but has no training in being a farm dog. This big boy would love to learn how if someone is willing to teach him! We are doing our best to teach him and socialize him with farm animals while he is with us so come down and meet this big boy!

Meet RIGATONI!! Rigatoni is a cuddle bug!  She loves to be held and to be near her people. She is an awesome puppy and believed to be Great Pyrenees/Hound mix. Rigatoni loves other dogs of all sizes! Her ideal home would have another doggy playmate to help her with her confidence. Rigatoni has also been tested with cats and does very well with cats that are respectful of dogs. Story
Meet Ivy – A Gentle Spirit Waiting for Her ForeverBorn March 22 | 13 lbs (as of June 1) | Great Pyrenees/Lab Mix | Nashville, TN   There’s something incredibly special about Ivy—a softness, a quiet joy, a sense that she was made to be someone’s perfect companion. Born into a litter of twelve, Ivy is the daughter of a beautiful white Great Pyrenees/Lab mix mama, who passed down not just her snowy coat but also her calm, loving nature.   As of early June, Ivy weighs about 13 pounds and is expected to grow into a graceful 60-pound adult, just like her mom. She’s a fluffy little cloud right now, with fur so soft you won’t want to stop petting her—and she’ll be right there, belly up, soaking in every moment of affection. Ivy loves gentle play, curling up in the shade, and following you around with quiet curiosity. Her temperament is peaceful, her energy balanced, and her heart wide open.   Ivy leans more toward her Great Pyrenees roots—intuitive, sweet-natured, and eager to connect. She’s already showing signs of being a fast learner and a true people-pleaser. Whether you’re a family looking for a gentle pup to grow up with your children or a solo adopter seeking a steady, loving presence in your life, Ivy will meet you with loyalty, patience, and unconditional love.   She doesn’t need the spotlight—she just needs someone to see her for who she is: a soft soul with so much love to give. Imagine coming home to her quiet tail wags, her warm snuggles, and the peaceful comfort of knowing you’ve found your dog.   Ivy is being lovingly fostered in Nashville, Tennessee, and is available to homes in-state and in the Northeastern U.S. through our trusted weekend transport service.   If Ivy sounds like the one you’ve been waiting for, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com to request an adoption form. Be sure to include your location so we can help guide you through the next steps.   There’s a home out there meant just for Ivy. Maybe it’s yours.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 5, 2025, 9:18 pm

Story
Have you ever seen cuter puppies than these Lab/Great Pyr mix babies?   Born on March 17th this litter of 12 pups, mostly girls , are now seeking homes to start a new life.   At 9 weeks these girls are only 10 pounds and very sweet.  Beautiful and well socialized, These pups were born to a mom who is 65 pounds and a version of a Great Pyr and something else.  She is solid white as well.       Our guess is that these pups will be the same size as mom and in the 55-65 pound range.   Critter Cavalry Rescue has started the process of giving all of their parvo distemper shots, series of 3 shots and they are being wormed and fed a healthy brand of puppy chow that will help them grow big and strong.  These puppies have been with young children in the original home they were born in.  This is how we can assure you that they are 'kid proof' and have been handled and hugged.  The momma Dog has been spayed as of 5/29 and she will never again have an accidental litter.   But these will be her legacy.  Momma Winnie is a soft, sweet girl with a loving temperament and easy going personality.  All of the puppies seem to take after her and we are very excited about placing them in the best homes possible over the next 4 weeks.    If you are interested, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue  at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  Please let us know where you live.  We transport from Nashville, TN to the northeastern states as well as adopting locally in Tennessee.                    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 29, 2025, 10:36 pm
