**Available to go Home after May 30th Mira Estimated Birthday: 1/17/2026 Breed: Great Pyrenees Adoption Fee: $465 Meet Mira — part polar bear cub, part cuddle bug, part tiny tornado with paws. Mira’s story started in a place no puppy should ever have to call home: abandoned on the side of a rural road with her two sisters, laying quietly in the grass and waiting for someone to notice them. Thankfully, someone did, and now this fluffy Great Pyrenees girl is getting the second chance she always deserved. At first, Mira can be a little nervous in new situations. Sudden movements? Suspicious. People standing up too quickly? Very concerning. Random noises? Clearly worth investigating. But once she realizes you’re safe, her sweet personality shines through in the best way possible. She quickly transforms into a loving, playful puppy who wants cuddles, pets, snacks, toys, and to be wherever her people (and foster dog siblings) are. Mira is a classic Great Pyrenees puppy through and through. She plays hard, naps hard, and occasionally believes towels are her mortal enemy. She absolutely loves stuffed toys, enjoys car rides (where she usually just curls up and naps like the princess she is), and has mastered the art of using her giant puppy paws to politely demand attention. “Handsy” may actually be her love language. She’s incredibly sweet with other dogs and approaches them with wagging tails, kisses, and zero understanding of personal space. While she hasn’t met cats yet, she has shown a gentle and submissive personality overall. Mira would likely do well with kids too, especially with her playful but loving disposition. Now, let’s be honest, Mira is still very much a puppy. She’s working on crate training, potty training, leash skills, and learning that not everything in life needs to be chewed on. She also occasionally does excited/nervous pees, which honestly just adds to her awkward baby giraffe charm. Like any Great Pyrenees, she’ll need a patient family committed to training and understanding the breed’s quirks. A secure, tall fence is highly recommended because these majestic fluffballs are known for wandering adventures and providing neighborhood security commentary at all hours. Mira may grow into a 90+ pound guardian dog someday, but right now she’s just a soft-hearted baby figuring out the world one cuddle at a time. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with giant paws, an even bigger heart, and enough fluff to cover every outfit you own… Mira is waiting for you. This is a typical puppy, She eats a bunch, poops a lot, plays hard and sleeps even harder. She working on her house-training skills but you can expect to have to train! She a quick learner. Puppies require training, so this puppy is no different. We highly encourage enrolling in a training program to teach your new addition good manners and to help her be well socialized. Please remember puppies demand a lot of your time and pets are a commitment for life. **Available to go Home after May 30th Rumi Estimated Birthday: 1/17/2026 Breed: Great Pyrenees Adoption Fee: $465 Meet Rumi, a fluffy little cloud with giant paws, a gentle heart, and absolutely no respect for your kitchen counters. Rumi’s story didn’t start with soft beds and puppy toys. She and her two sisters were found abandoned in a ditch in rural Virginia, left to fend for themselves far too young. Thankfully, compassionate rescuers and an experienced foster network stepped in to change the course of her life forever. Despite her heartbreaking beginning, Rumi has remained incredibly loving, sweet, and trusting — proof that some dogs are just born with extra sunshine in their souls. Like any Great Pyrenees puppy, Rumi is equal parts majestic angel and adorable chaos goblin. Her current hobbies include eating like it’s a competitive sport, chewing things that absolutely are *not* chew toys, performing Olympic-level zoomies around the kitchen island, and dramatically throwing herself on and off the couch for entertainment purposes. She’s also a professional cuddle enthusiast. Rumi can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her a little patience, some gentle affection, and maybe a snack or two, and she quickly melts into a loving, affectionate snuggle bug. Once she trusts you, she’s all about couch cuddles, pets, and following her foster siblings around like she’s part of a fluffy little wolf pack. With other dogs, Rumi is incredibly submissive and friendly. She happily plays with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities and seems determined to make friends everywhere she goes. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but her overall temperament is very gentle and well-rounded. Now for the puppy disclaimer: Rumi is still very much a baby. She’s not house trained yet. She’s learning crate manners beautifully, settles quickly with a toy or bone, and has no crate anxiety — though she still has occasional accidents because, again… baby dinosaur disguised as polar bear. She’s also a jumper, a little mouthy, and already discovering the exciting world of counter surfing thanks to her growing size. Future adopters should be prepared for basic puppy training, continued socialization, and a lifetime commitment to brushing enough fur to build a second dog. But underneath all the puppy chaos is a truly wonderful dog. Rumi is affectionate, playful, goofy, gentle, and resilient. She may need a little extra patience and possibly more than one meet-and-greet to fully feel comfortable, but once she opens her heart to you, it’s the kind of love that sticks forever. If you’re looking for a best friend who will make you laugh daily, keep your floors permanently fluffy, and love you with her whole giant heart… Rumi is ready to meet you. This is a typical puppy, She eats a bunch, poops a lot, plays hard and sleeps even harder. She working on her house-training skills but you can expect to have to train! She a quick learner. **Available to go Home after May 30th Zoey Estimated Birthday: 1/17/2026 Breed: Great Pyrenees Adoption Fee: $465 Meet Zoey — the gentle giant-in-training with the softest heart and the fluffiest future. At just a few months old, Zoey has already overcome more than most puppies ever should. She and her two sisters were found abandoned on a rural road by a kind Good Samaritan. Covered in fleas and ticks, underweight, scared, and unsure of the world around her, Zoey had every reason to be fearful. But despite her rough start, this sweet girl chose love anyway. Now? Zoey is discovering that life is actually pretty wonderful — especially when it includes belly rubs, cozy naps, treats, and humans who tell her she’s a good girl (which she absolutely is). As a Great Pyrenees puppy, Zoey is expected to grow into a big girl one day, but right now she’s mostly just an oversized marshmallow with puppy paws and a heart full of affection. She has a lower energy personality for a puppy and would happily accept a career as a professional cuddle consultant. Her favorite activity is being petted, and honestly, she takes that job very seriously. Zoey loves everyone she meets — adults, kids, dogs, and even cats. She’s incredibly gentle and has the kind of calm, loving personality that makes people instantly fall in love with her. She’s the puppy who would rather lean into you for affection than cause chaos… although she still has those adorable “typical puppy” moments because, well, she *is* still a baby. She’s currently working on leash walking and house training, and she’s already crate trained! Say “crate,” offer a treat, and she’ll happily trot right in like the smart girl she is. Zoey will need a family committed to continuing her puppy training and helping her grow into the confident, majestic companion she’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle soul who will grow up to be both your best friend and your oversized shadow, Zoey might just be your perfect match. Warning: Adopting Zoey may result in excessive cuddles, permanent dog hair on your clothes, and never going to the bathroom alone again. This is a typical puppy, She eats a bunch, poops a lot, plays hard and sleeps even harder. She working on his/her house-training skills but you can expect to have to train! She a quick learner. Puppies require training, so this puppy is no different. We highly encourage enrolling in a training program to teach your new addition good manners and to help him/her be well socialized. Please remember puppies demand a lot of your time and pets are a commitment for life. When Zoey first came into our rescue with her siblings, they were all covered in ticks and clearly had not received the care they deserved. Shortly after arriving, we noticed Zoey had a limp, and we were concerned she could possibly have hip dysplasia. Because of the heavy tick exposure, we also planned to test her for tick-borne illnesses once she was old enough. Our vet explained that while testing is often done a little later, we could go ahead and test early as long as we understood there is still a possibility of a false negative at a young age and retesting may be recommended in the future. Unfortunately, Zoey did test positive for Ehrlichiosis. Ehrlichiosis is a tick-borne disease that affects dogs and is spread through the bite of infected ticks. It can cause symptoms such as limping, lethargy, fever, loss of appetite, low platelet counts, and joint pain. The good news is that many dogs respond very well to treatment, especially when the disease is caught early. Zoey has already started treatment with antibiotics, which is the standard treatment plan for Ehrlichiosis. Most dogs improve significantly with proper treatment and monitoring, and many go on to live happy, normal lives. She will continue to be monitored by our veterinarian, and follow-up testing may be recommended down the road to ensure she stays healthy. We always want to be fully transparent about the dogs in our care and make sure potential adopters know exactly what to expect. Zoey is sweet, resilient, and deserving of a family who will continue giving her the love and care she needs. Story
Hello, my name is Isa ( E-Sah )! I am 1 year and 3 months as of April. I spent the first part of my life living outside, but now I feel much happier indoors. I am currently staying with kind foster parents and genuinely hope to find a loving forever home. I adore cuddles and playing, and I would thrive in a home with a big yard where I can run and enjoy myself. I get along well with my foster parents' dog, and we play. I can be protective with new people/dogs, but once I smell you, everything is okay! I am crate-trained and house-trained. I do need help with leash training. I know basic commands but am a fast learner. Please just be patient with me, I am a lovely, silly, loving girl.

Story
Marlee's story began the way far too many Great Pyrenees stories do. She was found wandering alongside an older female Great Pyr we believe may have been her mother. Like so many livestock guardian dogs, Marlee had been left to roam unsupervised on rural property, with little guidance, socialization, or human connection. Over time, dogs like Marlee lose their sense of where they belong—and sometimes who they belong to. The older female, lovingly named Marilyn, has already found her happy ending with a wonderful family, complete with children, chickens, and a small hobby farm to call home. Now it's Marlee's turn. When Marlee first came into rescue, she wasn't sure about people. She kept her distance and needed time to learn that human hands could offer comfort, kindness, and safety. Her foster mom has patiently shown her what love looks like, and watching Marlee blossom has been nothing short of beautiful. Today, Marlee welcomes affection. She seeks comfort from the people she trusts and reveals the sweet, gentle soul that was hidden beneath her uncertainty. She is crate trained, wonderful with other dogs, respectful of cats, and good with young children, though she can still be a little shy when meeting new people. One of the most endearing things about Marlee is how deeply she feels. She is sensitive to the emotions of her humans and forms meaningful bonds with those who care for her. Every day brings a little more confidence, a little more trust, and another glimpse of the incredible companion she is becoming. Marlee is looking for a patient, loving family familiar with the Great Pyrenees breed—someone who understands that these magnificent dogs need both security and consistency to thrive. Because Great Pyrenees are known for their climbing and roaming instincts, she will require a securely fenced yard with privacy fencing or wrought iron containment. If you've been looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart and a story of resilience, Marlee may be the one you've been waiting for. She has done the hard work of learning to trust. Now she just needs a family who will never give her a reason to lose that trust again. To learn more about adopting Marlee, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Be sure to tell us where you live and describe your fencing. Marlee is ready for her forever home. Could it be yours?   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 9, 2026, 7:20 pm
