Update: Chipley found his forever home! Meet Chipley!! Chipley is a 7 yr old handsome Pyrenees weighing 80 lbs. Chipley is house-trained, crate-trained and knows his basic commands. He is great with other dogs and is currently participating in Doggie Daycare at Paws by the Lake. Chipley love all people he meets. Unfortunately Chipley's owner moved out of state for a job that requires travel and could not that Chipley. Chipley is neutered, completely vaccinated and micro-chipped. Topato

Great Pyrenees Australian Cattle Dog

Female, Adult

Stow, OH

Size

(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

Details

Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Shots are up-to-date,

Story

I have had Topato since she was a puppy she was born on a porch in the middle of winter and needed a home. We’ve moved through multiple states (so she’s great in cars) and I think that stress has finally caught up with her and the apartment life just isn’t for her. In the past we have had huge yards and now that we don’t have one I think she is unhappy. So that’s definitely something I’m looking for in her new home. I am constantly busy with work and can’t give her the attention she deserves. Shes 6 years old (bday nov 20) so smart, loves food, and loves to cuddle. Her favorite trick is to spin. She loves the outdoors. She was raised with other dogs but she hasn’t been around any in awhile so unsure of how she would do freshly introduced. She’s great with cats doesn’t bother them if they want nothing to do with her and doesn’t mind if they wanna cuddle. Zero experience being around children. She’s a sweety pie just a little anxious at times.

Story

I got Roxie at 8 weeks ok she grew up with me in college. She is an amazing dog and it breaks my heart having to part with her because she’s a great dog. But with my living situation and career path I just can’t exercise her as much as she needs. She is extremely smart and well behaved. She does amazing with other dogs but has shown signs of aggression over food only with dogs. She will come with her crate and her food bowl. She’s the most loving dog I’ve ever had and I just want her to have a life that I can not give her and I know someone else can.

Special Needs

Buck

German Shepherd Dog Great Pyrenees

Male, Adult

Cuyahoga Falls, OH

Size

(when grown) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more

Details

Good with dogs, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,

Story

Please contact Sheri (sswank1@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. Buck is almost 3 years old, is DNA tested, and guess what!?! He is exactly 50% GSD and 50% Great Pyrenees. What a fun combo for a dog! He gets super excited when he sees me getting my tennis shoes on, or my ball cap because he knows it means we're going hiking. He's 100 pounds of lean handsomeness. LOL. He does well as a couch potato and is calm in the house on a normal quiet day. He is house trained, crate trained and does well with other non dominant dogs. He loves playing fetch with any ball, and if you don't have time to play, Buck plays by himself. I'm looking for a home without young children because Buck does have herding/guarding tendencies. Buck is looking for someone who loves the big boys, and can handle them. Bucks adoption fee is $200, and includes all up to date vaccines, neuter, microchip, flea and heartworm preventative, and endless love and appreciation from BUCK! Please fill out our non-obligatory application at pawsandprayers.org if you would like to adopt him!! Please email sswank1@gmail.com with any questions. This pet qualifies for the Pets for Patriots program https://www.petsforpatriots.org/veterans October 16, 2026, 1:17 pm
