Story
Hello everyone! It’s me, Pyr the Great Pyrenees, aka the sweetest, most loyal fur ball. Not long
ago I was a lifelong wanderer with no collar and no home. Just a big, loving heart waiting for a
place to stay. Then on a busy road one afternoon my rescuers showed up and convinced me to climb on in. I was scared, but deep down I knew I was safe. The hard part of my story was finally over.
Here is where I’m at in my growth after staying at my awesome, temporary lake home and them teaching me about humans, love, and everyday living. I still bow or lay if you come at me too quick because trauma has taught me this. I especially love the ladies. I am still slowly warming up to men and it helps me a lot if they sit or kneel. I have zero aggression, just fear while I’m still learning who you are. I live with two kitties who make me walk the line at all times. I just look at them like they’re crazy. I’m indifferent to dogs but I don’t like them in my face, and I’m not into playing so far. I’m still in my resting phase. I will gruff sternly if they do
bug me or get near my food. I love the indoors with outdoor time if well fenced. I have a fear of
thunder and fireworks so if I’m indoors at least I can’t do the escape plan I keep secretly stored
in my head.
I love to lay on rugs, big or small, sleep, stay cool, and be loved on a lot. I am polite and patient, bother nothing ever, and I don’t beg for food while my people are cooking or eating. I stay for several hours at a time indoors and never make a mess. I just catch up on my sleep. Every now and then I have a beautiful, deep, manly bark if I hear something strange outside. It’s a baritone voice to go with my stunning good looks. Once a leash is on and I realize I’m not being harmed with it, I will jump up in the truck and ride like the king I know I am. I love to walk on a leash but at a leisurely, Pyrenees pace.
Everyone that meets me loves me! I’m looking for love and patience as you learn me, a cozy home with a fenced backyard, and/or someone who likes to take walks for potty time.
