Meet Bones! Some dogs just need someone willing to see the world a little differently. Bones is one of those dogs. At just over a year old and around 80 pounds, Bones is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees/Heeler mix with a big heart, a joyful spirit, and a smile that lights up a room. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, on heartworm prevention, and ready to find the family he's been waiting for. Bones is deaf, but don't let that fool you—he is incredibly smart and highly trainable. He already knows hand signals for "come" and "sit" and has shown just how capable he is of learning. He loves people, thrives on interaction, and wakes up every day excited for whatever adventure comes next. Raised by an experienced rescuer, Bones has lived around multiple dogs and has zero history of aggression toward other dogs. He loves canine companionship and enjoys playtime with dogs of various sizes. Because he is a big, enthusiastic boy who doesn't always realize his own size and strength, very tiny or fragile dogs may not be the best fit simply because his play style can be exuberant. Bones has spent much of his life outdoors but is also comfortable spending time indoors when supervised. He adapts well and enjoys being part of the family. Because Bones is deaf, he cannot hear growls, hisses, or other warning signals from animals around him. Unfortunately, there have been incidents involving cats, and he should not be placed in a home with cats or other small animals. This is not a reflection of aggression, but it does mean he needs a home where everyone can be kept safe. The decision to rehome Bones was made with tremendous love and care. He is not a problem dog. He is a special dog who deserves a home that understands his unique needs and appreciates everything that makes him wonderful. Possum is a good boy, but a quirky boy. He is his breed (Great Pyrnees) and would be a good guard dog. He is dog selective, so may be best for him to be the only dog or have several meet and greets with any dogs already in the home. He's a big boy and unfortunately isn't aware of his size so has knocked a few small children down. He would do fine in a home with bigger children 11+. He would require a fenced in yard, unless the owner is ok walking him for potty breaks and exercise. He loves toys, knows basic commands, is potty trained, crate trained, and is food motivated. He is currently living in a foster home.

Mufas is a silly playful big guy that enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes. He is fairly independent and enjoys hanging out in hia fenced yard exploring. He likes to come in and hang out with his people in the evenings to sleep. He walks well on a leash but is still nervous with city life, so needs a martingale collar and a firm grip. He does want to share his food so we feed in a crate. Pyrs are protective but laid back dogs. Mufasa will get protective if strangers come in.
