Story
This is our baby, Zeus! He is 5 years old. We are having to relocate to a small apartment and won’t be able to take our boy with us…Zeus is silly, super friendly, amazing with children, a great cuddle partner, and perfect snack catcher! He is house trained (never has accidents and is vocal if he needs to use the restroom). Zeus is full of energy and loves to play. He has always been around other dogs and cats so he’s great with animals…we love this guy more than anything and we would love to find a person/family that would love him just as much as we do. He has brought great joy into everyone’s life and we know that he will do the same with anyone else!

Story
Please do NOT call to ask if this puppy is available for adoption. If this listing is still posted then we are still accepting applications. Please read the narrative in it's entirety. Please note our adoption procedures are explained in GREAT DETAIL BELOW. READ, READ, READ. Thank You. . . . . The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. This is a great article from 3LostDogs that explains the trials and tribulations of puppyhood: http://3lostdogs.com/things-wish-everyone-knew-before-they-get-dog-2/

Story
Holly is an awesome, very friendly and energetic young female. Between a year and a half to two years of age. We believe she's a mix of Greyhound and either Sloughi or Whippet, but could be another of the sighthound or Lurcher breeds. She loves to go out and just run around and burn off some energy. She is super affectionate and gentle, also very easily excited. But it doesn't take more than 5 seconds of giving her some love or petting her belly before she calms down. She is excellent with other dogs. (if they can tolerate her energy.) Just very out going and adventurous. Give us a call or email to schedule an appointment to come visit her.*Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing. Are you my furrever family? For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!  Hours Friday:  10 am to 3 pm Saturday:  10 am to 3 pm Sunday: 10 am to 3 pm Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: CLOSED Thursday: CLOSED Weekday appointments may be available.  We are a small staff and do our best to accommodate your needs. **Note that during COVID, we are not holding open houses on any day. Please email us for an appointment and include your application (found on our website, beaglesandbuddies.com, under "Forms"). Most appointments will be Friday through Sunday, though other days may also be available. We usually schedule one appointment per hour. Allow 1-2 hours for your appointment. Please look at our website and make a list of one or more dogs that you would like to see. Contacting Us If you have a question about adopting, giving up a dog, boarding, or volunteering, please visit the appropriate tabs on our  home page. Story
Swannie, whose racing name is Swan Attitude, is a handsome white and black boy born on August 24, 2022. And despite his racing name, this boy's attitude is all about happiness and fun! Swannie rides quietly in the car and enjoys being around his people. He can be a little strong on lead initially, but once he settles in, he walks beautifully. During his assessment, he stood patiently and quietly while his assessor made notes—showing what a good boy he can be! A little shy at first, Swannie quickly came out of his shell and became engaged and affectionate. He loves his people, is full of joy, and has proven himself to be an expert at zoomies! 🐾 Swannie showed no signs of resource guarding around other dogs and is currently being evaluated for his reactions to small dogs and cats. One thing is already certain: Swannie is one happy dog who is ready to bring plenty of love, laughter, and zoomies to his forever home! ❤️

Story
I'm a friendly, happy and playful girl with a beautiful personality and plenty of love to give! I enjoy being around people, having fun and soaking up all the attention that comes my way. I'm workable with small dogs and showed great, appropriate behaviour around my smaller canine friends. I have lovely social manners and am comfortable interacting with small breeds. I'm currently undergoing further cat testing, so we're still learning more about how I feel around my feline friends. I'm great with children and have shown myself to be a friendly, playful and happy girl. I also walk beautifully on lead, making me a wonderful companion for family walks and adventures. I have a low prey drive and have shown no interest in chasing behaviours. If you're looking for a happy, affectionate and playful girl with lovely manners around small dogs and a whole lot of personality, I could be the perfect new addition to your family!

Story
"Don't let the name fool you—Rowdy is anything but! This handsome black greyhound raced as Doonooch Dancer, and while he may have danced around the racetrack, these days he'd much rather dance his way into your heart. Born on December 27, 2021, Rowdy is approaching his fifth birthday and is ready to celebrate it with a family of his very own. Rowdy is a confident, friendly boy who takes life's adventures in stride. He walks beautifully on a loose lead with relaxed, wiggly movements, making strolls together an absolute pleasure. Whether he's exploring a new park, a new neighborhood, or your backyard, his curiosity shines through as he happily investigates everything around him. Meeting new people? That's one of Rowdy's favorite activities! He approaches everyone with soft, welcoming body language and an easygoing personality that makes fast friends wherever he goes. One thing you'll quickly discover about Rowdy is that he's a bit of a foodie. During his assessment, he was completely fascinated by the handler's treat pouch and eagerly hoped a snack might be coming his way. (Honestly, can you blame him?) When tested for resource guarding, he happily enjoyed his meal, briefly paused when approached, and then calmly returned to eating—showing no concerning behaviors. Rowdy is also wonderfully social with other dogs and gets along well with dogs of all sizes, making him an excellent companion for multi-dog households. When introduced to a cat, Rowdy noticed it, perked up his ears, and watched quietly before choosing to move away on his own. His response suggests that, with patient introductions and positive training, he could become cat workable in the right home. Rowdy is one of those greyhounds who seems to take life exactly as it comes—with curiosity, confidence, and a wagging tail. He's affectionate without being demanding, adventurous without being overwhelming, and always ready to see what the next walk, treat, or cuddle has in store. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart, a playful spirit, and just the right amount of goofy charm, Rowdy is ready to prove that the only thing ""rowdy"" about him is his name. Could Rowdy be the perfect new dance partner for your family?"
