Story
Holly is an awesome, very friendly and energetic young female. Between a year and a half to two years of age. We believe she's a mix of Greyhound and either Sloughi or Whippet, but could be another of the sighthound or Lurcher breeds. She loves to go out and just run around and burn off some energy. She is super affectionate and gentle, also very easily excited. But it doesn't take more than 5 seconds of giving her some love or petting her belly before she calms down. She is excellent with other dogs. (if they can tolerate her energy.) Just very out going and adventurous. Give us a call or email to schedule an appointment to come visit her.*Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing. Are you my furrever family? For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!  Hours Friday:  10 am to 3 pm Saturday:  10 am to 3 pm Sunday: 10 am to 3 pm Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: CLOSED Thursday: CLOSED Weekday appointments may be available.  We are a small staff and do our best to accommodate your needs. **Note that during COVID, we are not holding open houses on any day. Please email us for an appointment and include your application (found on our website, beaglesandbuddies.com, under "Forms"). Most appointments will be Friday through Sunday, though other days may also be available. We usually schedule one appointment per hour. Allow 1-2 hours for your appointment. Please look at our website and make a list of one or more dogs that you would like to see. Contacting Us If you have a question about adopting, giving up a dog, boarding, or volunteering, please visit the appropriate tabs on our  home page. Story
"Meet Friend! His name says it all. Friend is a handsome black male greyhound born on August 20, 2021, and if you're looking for a calm, easy-going companion who simply enjoys being part of the family, Friend may be the perfect match. This sweet boy is the definition of laid-back. He is quiet, well-mannered, and content to take life at a relaxed pace. Friend is the kind of dog who doesn't create drama, doesn't demand constant attention, and is simply a pleasure to have around. Whether you're relaxing at home, taking a leisurely walk, or enjoying a day by the water, Friend is happy to be by your side. One of his favorite places is the beach, where he can soak up the sights, sounds, and smells while spending time with his people. He has also been around children aged four years and older and has done very well, making him a wonderful candidate for a family home. Friend travels beautifully and shows no signs of stress in the car. He has some crate training and settles easily into new situations. During his assessment, he walked nicely on lead and remained completely relaxed throughout. While some dogs feel the need to be the center of attention, Friend was content to quietly observe his surroundings, taking everything in stride. When he met his assessor, he offered a polite sniff, enjoyed some affection, and happily interacted without being overly energetic or demanding. His gentle nature and calm confidence make him incredibly easy to be around. Friend also has excellent manners around other dogs. He gets along well with both large and small dogs and showed no signs of possessiveness around treats or food. In fact, he was so unconcerned that he didn't seem to mind when another dog helped itself to his treats. His relaxed attitude and friendly disposition make him a wonderful companion in multi-dog households. That said, Friend's independent nature means he may also be perfectly happy as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention from his family. He doesn't seem to rely on other dogs for confidence or entertainment and appears comfortable simply being himself. If you're searching for a loyal companion with a gentle soul, easy manners, and a wonderfully relaxed outlook on life, Friend is ready to become exactly what his name promises—a true friend for life. Friend sounds like the kind of greyhound many adopters dream of: calm, uncomplicated, affectionate, and content just being part of the family."

Story
Aussie is a handsome 4-year-old black boy with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. If there’s a pat going, Aussie’s first in line — he never says no to some quality human affection! He’s a dream to have around: travels well, and has a calm, social nature that makes him great company wherever he goes. The handsome gentleman is more than happy to entertain himself in the backyard or curl up with you on the couch. He is great walking on the lead and has no issues exploring new places. Aussie gets along wonderfully with dogs of all shapes and sizes — small, medium, and large — and is always up for making new friends. With his gentle manners, easygoing vibe, and love for life, Aussie would make an amazing addition to almost any home.

Story
"Hilda is a stunning dark brindle greyhound born on November 25, 2022, whose beautiful coat is only matched by her wonderful personality. This sweet girl has spent the past several months living around other dogs and has proven herself to be a friendly, social, and easy-going companion. Wherever Hilda goes, she brings a calm and happy presence. She travels beautifully in the car, showing no signs of stress, making her an excellent companion for road trips, errands, or family adventures. In the yard, she is relaxed and confident, happily exploring her surroundings and taking everything in stride. Hilda truly enjoys being around people. She is affectionate, friendly, and always happy to stop for some attention and pats. Her warm personality makes it easy to fall in love with her, and she seems to genuinely enjoy spending time with both familiar faces and new friends alike. One of Hilda's greatest strengths is her wonderful social nature with other dogs. She gets along beautifully with both large and small dogs and has demonstrated excellent manners while sharing space, toys, and attention. During her assessment, she showed no signs of resource guarding and happily coexisted with the other dogs in the yard. Her caregiver describes her as a happy, playful, and easy-going girl, and those qualities shine through in everything she does. Hilda enjoys having fun, but she also has the relaxed temperament that makes greyhounds such wonderful companions. Whether she's exploring the yard, spending time with canine friends, or soaking up affection from her people, she approaches life with a cheerful and gentle spirit. Hilda is ready to leave her racing days behind and begin the next chapter of her life with a family of her own. If you're looking for a beautiful greyhound with a loving heart, a playful nature, and an easy-going personality, Hilda may be the perfect addition to your home. Could Hilda be the brindle beauty you've been waiting for?"
