Story
Schmaltz (she also goes by Sally) is a beautiful, adorable, elegant Greyhound. She was bred to race and had a racing career for two years before she was rescued and adopted into retirement : ) She is sweet, gentle, cuddly, and very chill / laid back. Like most greyhounds, she does not need much exercise and prefers to lounge and nap most of the day. But if she has a chance to properly run (beach, fenced park) it is absolutely incredible - she'll hit 40pmh and its gorgeous. Here is the difficult part: Very strong separation anxiety. When a person she trusts is around, she is chill and fine. But she struggles with being left alone. I built her up to leave her alone for 4 hours a day, but not more. And she can howl or grab something to chew during those 4 hours. You can work on it, but its not easy. You can't expect to leave her alone all day while you go to work, at least at the beginning. She'll do best in a home where people are around during the day, and ideally with a dog friend

Alfie is a black male greyhound with a calm and gentle personality. He can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but quickly becomes comfortable and enjoys affection. Once settled, he’s happy to come up for pats and engage with those around him. Alfie is very social with other greyhounds and was keen to play during introductions. He walks nicely on lead and is relaxed and responsive while out and about. This lovely boy is growing in confidence and would do well in a calm, supportive environment. Alfie’s sweet nature and friendly attitude make him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a quiet, easygoing greyhound who enjoys company and gentle play. He has lived with kids, no cats and probably not a home with a small dog.
