Nikki IS AVAILALBE (updated 04-28-2024).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Nikki, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22515&name=NikkiNikki is a mixed breed dog, approximately 20 months old, that came to Coastal GSR from the Coachella Shelter after being found in a field with her siblings. The shelter called them &#39Shepherd mixes&#39 but if you look at Nikki, you might see more Greyhound or Whippet in her than Shepherd. Nikki is long, tall, and very muscular. Nikki will not grow any taller but she may fill out some more. She has giant ears that we thought would stand up but mostly they just flop. She has a voracious appetite and is very food motivated, which helps with training. She is fun, fearless, and fast. She is very alert and an adventurer but she can also be sweet and affectionate. Nikki goes hard, runs fast, and crashes hard too. Nikki is sharp - she learns new tricks and commands easily and she is adaptable.Nikki is housetrained and also crate trained. A real plus to help Nikki settle into your life would be to have a large yard for her to sprint around in and explore. If you are looking for a young dog to be your companion in the wilderness, on hiking trails, or just play in your yard with you - come meet Nikki! The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.April 28, 2024, 6:13 am

Story
Pretty Priya is ready for her forever family! Priya a gorgeous Greyish Brown, 1 year old, 59 lb female Doberman Pinscher/Greyhound mix. Priya loves going for walks, and would make a great running or hiking buddy. She is house trained and crate trained, and loves chewing on her bene bones and squeaky toys. Priya is a fun, goofy girl, who is good with other dogs, but would do best with a medium to large male, or would be happy as an only dog. She had a very tough start in life, and deserves to be a loved family member, it's her turn now! Her adoption fee is $300 and includes spay, microchip and current vaccinations. Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Greyhound mix; Spayed female; 2 years; 30 pounds If you looked up “Loyal” in the dictionary you would find a picture of Tinsel. This sweet pup loves nothing more than to sit on the couch with her favorite people to binge her favorite TV shows. She also enjoys fluffy blankets, going on long car rides, tennis balls and eating cream cheese. Tinsel is a medium size of about 30 lbs. She has a sweet face with doe like eyes and a svelte body type. Tinsel has had some bad luck and been displaced a few times looking for her forever family. Moving from home to home caused her to lose hope but luckily after spending some time in a shelter she found her way to her foster family and is now ready to find a home to call her own. Tinsel has been working with a trainer to build her confidence and learn that the world is not so scary. She will need dedicated and committed adopters, who are willing to take things slow to help her continue to blossom. A trainer will be provided for her new forever family. Tinsel is currently living in a home with a family. If you are interested in learning more, we would love to chat about her history and adoption needs. For more information or if you are interested in adopting, please contact Tinsel’s foster, Jaime at sddogsquad@gmail.com. *PLEASE NOTE: This animal is listed as a courtesy for another organization or private party. This pet has not been evaluated medically or behaviorally by Rancho Coastal Humane Society and is not in our care. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker listed in the post for more information. Courtesy Listings are private adoptions and not processed through Rancho Coastal Humane Society.
