Story
Walden is one of our special Ridglan Farms Beagles who recently got a second chance after spending the first year of his life in a commercial breeding and research facility. Now, he's discovering all the wonderful things life has to offer—soft beds, tasty treats, toys, and, most importantly, the love and security of a family. About Walden. Meet Walden—Wally to his friends—a young, goofy, and determined pup who’s ready to find his perfect match. At heart, Wally is a professional cuddler who loves nothing more than curling up with his favorite people for a nap after a day of play. Wally wakes up each morning eager to start the day, playing chase and wrestling with his dog friends. He’s happiest in a home with at least one confident canine companion to show him the ropes and join in his adventures. Wally’s play style is rowdy and fun, and he thrives in a calm, predictable environment with older, considerate kids and adults who understand his need for gentle introductions. True to his beagle roots, Wally loves slow, sniffy walks and is always up for a car ride or a new trick—he’s already mastered sit, down, touch, dance, and shake! He’s treat-motivated and loves puzzle toys, lick mats, and moving his toys around the house (and sometimes outside to bury them). He’ll need someone patient to keep working on his potty training and to remind him what’s okay to chew. Wally is still learning about the world and can be shy with new people, especially if approached too quickly. He does best when given time and space to warm up at his own pace. With a little patience and understanding, he’ll reward you with endless affection and loyalty. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly companion who will keep you laughing and fill your days with love, Wally might be your perfect fit. Apply to meet him and see if your home is the one he’s been waiting for! Helpful Information from Wally's Foster: Wally is great with other dogs and needs at least one confident dog in the home. He thrives off of another dog showing him the way. He does best with predictable routines. He is working hard on potty training and will need someone with patience to continue that training. Wally is curious when meeting new people in new environments, but it scares him when new people suddenly reach towards him. When given his own time and space to meet people, he will approach others calmly to sniff them. He would do best with an adopter that can read his body language, be a strong advocate for him when he's in new environments, and will not force interactions that he isn't ready for. Story
Meet Lobu! Lobu is a sweet, loving girl who has done an amazing job raising her 10 babies and is now ready to find a family of her very own—one that will adore her and spoil her the way she deserves! Lobu can be a little tentative when meeting new men, which makes us think she may not have had many positive experiences with them before coming into rescue. With patience and kindness, she has learned to trust her foster dad and continues to gain confidence every day. She currently coexists well with the other dogs in her foster home, but she would much prefer to be the only dog and have all of her family's attention to herself. Surprisingly, despite being an enthusiastic squirrel chaser, Lobu does great with cats! She's fully house-trained and has excellent manners in the home. One thing she does not enjoy is being kenneled—but fortunately, she doesn't need one. Lobu is not destructive when left out and is perfectly content relaxing around the house. While toys aren't really her thing, she does enjoy having a good bone to chew on. Most of all, Lobu loves being near her people and soaking up affection. This truly sweet girl has spent her life caring for others. Now it's her turn to be cared for. We know her perfect family is out there, and we can't wait for Lobu to find the loving home she deserves. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.  ##2654322##
