Story
Meet Wasabi, a gentle, sweet, and slightly timid tabby girl looking for a loving forever home. Once she feels safe, she becomes incredibly affectionate, she’ll quietly come over for cuddles, curl up by your legs or feet, and sometimes ask to join you in the bedroom for extra comfort. She loves her food, enjoys cozy napping spots, and is perfectly fine sleeping on her own in the living room too. Wasabi prefers to be approached slowly, but when she trusts you, she bonds deeply and wholeheartedly. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and was originally adopted from a shelter in 2019. We adore her, but with a baby arriving next year, we’re hoping to find her a home where she can continue to feel safe, loved, and understood. To help her transition smoothly, we will also include her automatic feeder and automatic litter box for her new home. If you’re patient, gentle, and looking for a loyal companion, Wasabi will be the sweetest addition to your family.

Story
Meet Greg! Greg came to AFRP with his brothers Peter and Bobby (aka The Brady Bunch) from Hitchcock Road Animal Services. Born with eyelid agenesis, Greg and his brothers all had special eyelid reconstruction surgery, giving them a whole new perspective on life—literally. Greg’s start in life was a little rough—he couldn’t see well at first, which made the world a scary place—but don’t let that fool you. This sweet boy is gentle, loving, and full of quiet charm. Once he feels safe, he transforms into a laid-back superstar, often found sprawling on his back in a warm sunny spot like he owns the place. He’s basically a four-legged, purring sunbeam. Food? Absolutely a top priority. Greg will happily work for treats, savor every bite, and give you all the side-eye gratitude you could ask for. Toys? Yes, please. Greg enjoys gentle play with his favorite toys or mellow wrestling sessions with fellow feline friends. While he’s incredibly easygoing, he’s not the biggest fan of rambunctious animals—slow, careful introductions are a must. Greg would thrive in a calm, quiet home where he can lounge, snack, and sunbathe in peace. He could be your one-and-only, or he could share his chill vibes with another mellow cat or a dog-savvy, gentle pup. No matter what, he brings a level of zen and subtle sass that’s impossible not to love. Greg is currently in a loving foster home. A meet and greet can be scheduled once an online application has been submitted and approved by AFRP staff. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org to fill one out today!

Story
Meet Dylan! Dylan recently joined our crew due to over capacity at our local shelter! Dylan is that cat who thinks you are his entire reason for existence. Hear footsteps? He’s already doing parkour off the cat tree to get to you. Forget privacy because this handsome guy will follow you everywhere like a tiny, fuzzy bodyguard. He rubs on your legs, stands up to politely demand neck scritches, and purrs like a tiny lawnmower. Pick him up? Congratulations, you now own a limp, purring noodle. Dylan has a curled tail that looks like it’s always mid-pose, very high-fashion. He loves toys, especially squiggles and light-up balls, but mostly he likes eating kibble whenever you’re around. He’s a social snacker and he believes meals should be shared. He’s a fan of lickables, brushing, and staring at you with big beautiful eyes like he’s writing poetry about your face. Dylan is currently looking for a home with adult adopters or families with cat-savvy kids over the age of ten at this time. Dylan is not a fan of dogs, and it is currently unknown how he may do with other cats, but any introductions should be done slowly and over time. Dylan is funny, flirty, and very available. If you want a cat who acts like he’s the star of a sitcom and you’re his favorite support character, he’s your guy. Story
Meet Ziggy! Ziggy isn’t just any senior kitty, he’s a staff favorite, a handsome gentleman, and a 2011 AFRP alumni returning for round two of love and cuddles. Now looking for his next “bachelor pad,” this big, charming grump is searching for a calm, adult-only home where he can do life on his terms. Ziggy loves affection… in carefully measured doses. Petting? Yes, but don’t overdo it. Playtime? Only when he feels like it. Most of the day, he prefers napping, lounging on his cat tower, or quietly judging the world from his favorite window or catio. He’s a bird-watching pro and a toy-chase enthusiast—but mostly he’s an expert in chill vibes. Other pets? Meh. Ziggy prefers to be your one and only, though he might tolerate a mellow cat or dog if introductions are slow and respectful. His diet is specialized due to allergies, but that doesn’t slow him down, meal time is basically the highlight of his day, and he approaches it with the intensity of a tiny furry foodie. Ziggy is basically a mix of grumpy dad energy, high-class loaf vibes, and subtle sass. Adopt (or foster) him if you want a senior cat who will demand respect and reward your patience with endless charm… on his schedule. Ziggy is currently in a loving foster home. A meet and greet can be scheduled once an online application has been submitted and approved by AFRP staff. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org to fill one out today!
