Story
Hampton was born on an abusive puppy farm in Kentucky. He was adopted by my partner at 12 weeks. Right away he was loving, snuggly, and pranced around like a little king. He had some trouble with eating from a bowl, most toys, loud music, and children - all of which pointed back to his conditions at the puppy farm. He is now 10 years old and full of personality, opinions, joy, and love. He is a wonderful companion and truly a very special soul. He loves a good routine, attention from adult people, lying in the grass and/or sunshine, yummy treats, going on walks, and being involved. He recently lost his sister to cancer (our 8 yr old cat). After her death he’s been pretty mellow as he’s always had a harder time with other pets, but also misses her in his own way. He doesn’t do well with larger dogs, groups of dogs, puppies, children, some men, or being bothered when sleeping. Hampton deserves a loving, calm, attentive home to live his best years.
