Meet Wonton!
Wonton is a 5-year-old, approximately 14-pound mixed breed who appears to have some Shih Tzu, Maltese, Lhasa Apso, or Havanese in his family tree.
This sweet little guy has excellent house manners and is fully potty trained—he hasn’t had a single accident so far. Wonton enjoys his walks and can be a bit of a speedy walker, but he’s easy to handle and enjoys getting out and about.
His favorite place, though, is wherever his person is. Wonton is affectionate, loving, and happiest when curled up beside you or relaxing in your lap. He’s the kind of dog who forms a close bond with his people and simply wants to be part of your day.
If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal companion who loves cuddles and companionship, Wonton may be the perfect match.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
