Meet Mila!
Mila is an adorable 10-month-old Havanese/Shih Tzu mix weighing in at just 10 lbs—and packed full of puppy personality! Mila was surrendered after it became clear that the resident dog in her previous home was not a fan of having a puppy, even after several months of trying to help them bond. Through it all, Mila has remained a sweet, playful, and loving little girl.
Mila is still working on her house manners, but she’s doing well with a consistent routine and continued guidance. She loves attention and enjoys playing with other dogs that are tolerant of her enthusiastic puppy energy. Because she’s active and busy, she’ll do best with an engaged family that can keep up with her mentally and physically.
She has met children and would be best suited for a home with dog-savvy kids, as she is still teething and learning appropriate manners and boundaries. Mila recently met a cat without issue, showing promise for a multi-pet household.
This little lady will require regular grooming to keep her coat healthy and looking its best. She is not a good candidate for a tether system, and she can be vocal at times, so she may not be the best fit for an apartment, mobile home, or tightly knit condo environment.
Mila is a happy, affectionate puppy who is ready to grow, learn, and blossom with the right family. She’s searching for a home that will provide structure, patience, and lots of love—and commit to being her furever family.

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.
FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
