MEET AUTUMN:
Meet Autumn, a sweet 8-month-old, 11lb Havanese mix with a heartwarming spirit just waiting to shine! This lovely girl was found as a matted stray, covered in fleas and needing urgent care. She has been shaved down, but her stunning chocolate fur will grow back beautifully over time. Regular grooming will be necessary to keep her coat looking healthy and beautiful as it grows back.
Autumn is still getting used to the world around her and can be timid at first with new human faces. After some time to decompress, she is becoming more comfortable and discovering her playful side. As a puppy, she enjoys interacting and playing with other dogs and is looking for a home with another high energy dog that she can romp around with. Autumn has a tendency to annoy the older dogs in her foster home as she knows no boundaries and lacks the concept of understanding personal space. With another confident and active dog, Autumn will continue to grow and become more comfortable with her people. Autumn is also good with dog-savvy cats, making her a well-rounded companion. Autumn needs an active family who can also provide her with the patience and understanding she requires as she builds her confidence.
Best suited for an adult-only home, Autumn would thrive in a loving environment where she can feel secure. She is currently working on perfecting her house manners, and with a little time, she is sure to become an excellent housemate.
Autumn has recently discovered the joy of toys and is curious about playtime, a big step for her as she continues to come out of her shell. She is not yet comfortable with leash walking and will need training to build her confidence in this area. A fenced yard is essential for Autumn while she learns to explore the outdoors safely.
