Story
🐾 Meet Gureum🐾 📍 Current location: South Korea ❤ Age: about 6-7 years old ❤ Gender: n. male ❤ Weight: 11 kg ❤ Breed: Bichon frise ❤ Health: Fully vaccinated, Overall healthy 🐶 Personality & Behavior 💖 People-friendly – Loves people and is very affectionate 💖 Kid-friendly – indifferent to kids 💖 Dog-friendly – he gets along well with other dogs, especially smaller dogs or the same size dogs. He doesnt like large jindo or large jindo mix breeds, bcz he was often attacked by stray jindos. 💖 Cat-friendly –no issues, not very interested for them (video attached) ✅ Toilet-trained: prefers Outdoors and using peepads indoors ✅ Leash manners: Enjoys walks and matches your pace. ✅ Energy level: Usually he is very calm. He shows big excitement, when going for walks and when seeing you get home. ✅ Handling: Comfortable with touch and bathing ✅ Escape instinct: no ✅ Prey drive: no ✅ Guarding tendency: He likes balls and is sometimes obsessed with them ✅ Crate trained: Currently in training ✅ Barking: He barely barks at noises outside ✅ Separationsanxiety: None so far 💔 Rescue Story He was abandoned by his pervious owner in a farm due to the marriage issue, her husband didn't want to keep the dog. As we found him, his hinterquaters were covered in countless bite wounds from repeated attacks by other straydogs. ‼️ Special notes He is protective of his owner and will lunge at strangers, especially men, while barking. But he is not very strong, is easy to handle and controll. He responds well to a light leash correction and will usually stop the behavior. However we believe that he'd do the best with an adopter who has prior experience with dogs.

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: CornChip Age: 3 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Mini Bichon Color: White Weight:  2.5kg / 5.5lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from an illegal puppy mill, where it appears I was used for breeding. Some of the scars and changes to my body still tell the story of the neglect and hardship I endured there. Despite everything I went through, I somehow never lost my trust in people. I still seek out human companionship and am willing to open my heart to those who show me kindness. My past may be a part of my story, but it doesn’t define who I am. Those difficult days are finally behind me, and now I’m ready to experience the life I should have had all along, filled with safety, comfort, love, and a forever family of my own.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues It appears I may have undergone a debarking procedure before I was rescued. Unfortunately, because so much of my past is unknown, we can’t say for certain when or why it was done.   MY PERSONALITY Just like my name, CornChip, I’m tiny, adorable, and pretty hard to resist! Despite everything I experienced in my past, I haven’t let it take away my bright and loving spirit. I still enjoy being around both people and dogs and continue to trust the kindness in those around me. I especially love being close to people and am happiest curled up on someone’s lap, soaking up all the affection I missed out on before. After everything I’ve been through, the volunteers and staff want nothing more than to see me find the wonderful home I deserve. My past has shown me the worst side of people, but I’m still willing to believe in the good ones. Now I’m waiting for a forever family who will show me just how safe, gentle, and beautiful life can be. MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m incredibly friendly with people and love receiving pets and affection! Even when meeting someone for the very first time, I’m happy to say hello and soak up all the attention they have to give. I’m also comfortable being picked up and held, and I may even roll over to show you my belly right away. Despite everything I’ve been through, I’m still such a trusting and affectionate little girl with so much love to give. · With Dogs: I get along wonderfully with my dog friends and enjoy meeting new canine buddies! I’m happy to greet new dogs and love joining them for some playtime once we get acquainted. I’m a social little girl who enjoys having dog friends around, and with a compatible personality match, I could happily share my forever home with a canine sibling. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still working on perfecting my leash manners and making great progress every day. With continued practice and gentle guidance, I’m sure I’ll keep improving. I have good manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I may bark occasionally, but overall I’m a pretty quiet girl. I’m also still learning how to settle calmly in my kennel and will benefit from continued positive practice. I may mark when I first enter a new environment, but with time, consistency, and a regular potty routine, I should continue making progress.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I’m the kind of little girl who can brighten your day just by being around. The volunteers and staff are always talking about how adorable I am and how easily I make everyone smile with my sweet personality. Considering everything I’ve been through, it’s especially touching that I still trust people and genuinely want to form a bond with them. I love being close, receiving affection, and curling up on a lap whenever I get the chance. I’m also friendly and playful with other dogs, which makes me an adaptable little companion. Whether I’m sharing my home with a compatible dog friend or simply spending time with my people, I have so much love and happiness to bring to my future family.   CORNCHIP'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   ADOPTION INFORMATION: Adoption Fee: $950   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2847391##
