🐾 Meet Gureum🐾 📍 Current location: South Korea ❤ Age: about 6-7 years old ❤ Gender: n. male ❤ Weight: 11 kg ❤ Breed: Bichon frise ❤ Health: Fully vaccinated, Overall healthy 🐶 Personality & Behavior 💖 People-friendly – Loves people and is very affectionate 💖 Kid-friendly – indifferent to kids 💖 Dog-friendly – he gets along well with other dogs, especially smaller dogs or the same size dogs. He doesnt like large jindo or large jindo mix breeds, bcz he was often attacked by stray jindos. 💖 Cat-friendly –no issues, not very interested for them (video attached) ✅ Toilet-trained: prefers Outdoors and using peepads indoors ✅ Leash manners: Enjoys walks and matches your pace. ✅ Energy level: Usually he is very calm. He shows big excitement, when going for walks and when seeing you get home. ✅ Handling: Comfortable with touch and bathing ✅ Escape instinct: no ✅ Prey drive: no ✅ Guarding tendency: He likes balls and is sometimes obsessed with them ✅ Crate trained: Currently in training ✅ Barking: He barely barks at noises outside ✅ Separationsanxiety: None so far 💔 Rescue Story He was abandoned by his pervious owner in a farm due to the marriage issue, her husband didn't want to keep the dog. As we found him, his hinterquaters were covered in countless bite wounds from repeated attacks by other straydogs. ‼️ Special notes He is protective of his owner and will lunge at strangers, especially men, while barking. But he is not very strong, is easy to handle and controll. He responds well to a light leash correction and will usually stop the behavior. However we believe that he'd do the best with an adopter who has prior experience with dogs.

Story
Meet Haneul   1 year old | Spayed Female | Bichon Frise | 3.9 kg   Sometimes all a dog needs is one person who won’t give up.   Haneul was purchased from a pet shop as a two-month-old puppy by an elderly owner in his 70s. As she grew into an energetic puppy, caring for her became too difficult. She was then passed from one acquaintance to another, changing homes about four times before finally being surrendered to a private shelter. The shelter later reached out to us for help finding her forever home.   Despite all the instability in her young life, Haneul has remained a sweet, affectionate little girl who is still searching for the family she can truly call her own.   Personality with People   Haneul is an affectionate cuddle bug who loves being close to her people. At home, she’ll happily ask to be picked up and can spend hours curled up comfortably on your lap.   Outdoors, however, she can be a little more reserved. In unfamiliar environments, she may hesitate around strangers at first, but once she feels comfortable, her affectionate personality quickly shines through.   She is friendly with men. She has done well meeting children. She enjoys belly rubs from people she trusts. She can be comfortably picked up and loves being held.   With Other Dogs   Haneul is a typical young Bichon with a playful spirit.   She tends to avoid dogs that are much larger than she is, but happily plays with dogs of similar size, smaller dogs, and even large puppies.   Once she gets excited, it’s zoomie time! She becomes so focused on having fun that she barely notices what’s happening around her—even if other dogs are barking. At just one year old, she’s still delightfully carefree and hasn’t quite learned all the social rules yet, which only adds to her charm.   With Cats   Haneul has not been tested with cats, but a cat assessment can be arranged upon request.   Energy Level   Like many young Bichons, Haneul enjoys several energetic zoomie sessions throughout the day.   Once she’s burned off her energy, she’s happy to play with toys, spend time with other dogs, or simply cuddle with her people. Overall, she has a moderate energy level with playful bursts of puppy excitement.   Walking   Haneul loves exploring the world through her nose and enjoys taking time to sniff during walks.   She walks nicely on leash without pulling and naturally stays close to her handler.   Additional Information   She does not guard food from people or other dogs.   While no separation anxiety has been observed, Haneul does not enjoy being alone and would do best with a family where someone is home most of the day or where she has regular companionship.   She may bark when first settling into a crate, but usually relaxes once she feels secure. She may also bark to let you know she wants something.   She is potty trained to use both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty, although she clearly prefers going outside.     Toronto Applicants Only   Haneul is expected to arrive in Toronto in mid-August with a flight volunteer.   At this time, we are only accepting applications from adopters who are able to pick her up at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).   If you’re looking for a cheerful little companion who loves to cuddle just as much as she loves to zoom around and play, Haneul may be the perfect addition to your family. Story
Name: Chonchon Age: Around 8 years old (Estimated to be born 2018) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Bischon Frise mix Color: White Weight: 3.6kg / 8lbs    MY RESCUE STORY  I was rescued from an abusive environment where I was used as a grooming practice dog. Instead of being loved as a companion, I was treated like a mannequin for people to practice haircuts on. Thankfully, those difficult days are now behind me. I was rescued by kind people who showed me the care and compassion I had always deserved. Now, I'm ready to leave my past behind and begin a new chapter filled with love, comfort, and happiness. All I'm missing is a forever family to call my own.    MY HEALTH  All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues    MY PERSONALITY  I can be a little shy when we first meet, but I warm up quickly with a little patience, kindness, and a few tasty treats. I have a big appetite, which makes me eager to learn and eager to please. I also love receiving attention from my people and thrive on affection. Because I enjoy being the center of attention, I can get a little jealous when other dogs are receiving all the cuddles, making me more of a people pup at heart.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I can be a little shy when we first meet, but I warm up quickly with a little patience, kindness, and a few tasty treats. Once I feel safe, my sweet and affectionate personality shines through. I love gentle pets and enjoy spending quiet time close to my favorite people. I'm comfortable being picked up with proper support and remain calm while being held. The volunteers and staff know I have so much love to give and believe that once I settle into my forever home, I'll blossom into a wonderfully loyal, affectionate companion. · With Dogs: I generally get along best with dogs that are similar in size and have a compatible energy level, as I enjoy calm, respectful interactions. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged to ensure the best fit!    ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have a moderate energy level and enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it's exploring, sniffing around, or simply taking in all the interesting sights and smells. I'm happiest with leisurely walks where I can explore the world at my own pace. Once I've had my outdoor adventure, I'm more than happy to come home, curl up, and relax quietly by your side for the rest of the day.    TRAINING & HABITS  I'm continuing to improve my leash manners and may pull a little when something catches my interest, but I generally do a wonderful job following my handler's lead. I feel most comfortable walking in quieter areas, as loud or sudden noises can still surprise me. With gentle encouragement and positive experiences, my confidence continues to grow every day. I don't guard my food around people or other dogs, and I settle calmly in my kennel. While I don't currently show signs of separation anxiety, I do form close bonds with the people I love, so I may need a little time to adjust as we settle into a new routine together. For potty habits, I'm comfortable using both pee pads indoors and going potty outdoors, making me adaptable to different lifestyles.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever A patient family who will let me build confidence at my own pace as I come out of my shell.     SPECIAL NOTES  I'm even smaller and cuter in real life. Photos and videos simply don't do me justice! I may be a little shy when we first meet, but I warm up quickly with a few tasty treats, kind words, and a little patience. Once I feel safe, my sweet and affectionate personality shines through, and I can't wait to show you just how loving I can be.    CHONCHON'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2811303##
