He will happily walk up to anyone and is comfortable meeting new humans, taking affection, and engaging without hesitation. He has a sweet, gentle demeanor and seeks closeness in a calm, affectionate way.
He enjoys playtime but is not frantic or overstimulated, and he does especially well when he has a toy or chew to focus on. Romeo shows early signs of being emotionally secure and adaptable. He responds well to attention, reassurance, and routine, and he bonds easily with the people around him. Romeo has excellent sleep habits for a puppy his age. He naps regularly throughout the day and is able to settle himself when given a calm, contained space. After play and potty time, he transitions smoothly into rest.
At night, he sleeps quietly and comfortably. He does not exhibit excessive restlessness and is able to relax and stay settled for long stretches. He is successfully using pee pads indoors and has already shown consistency with bowel movements on the pad. Because he is still young, he does best with frequent opportunities and gentle guidance. He is learning steadily and showing clear progress, and with continued consistency, he is expected to transition smoothly as training advances. Romeo is a very trusting, people-friendly puppy who approaches new people confidently. He listens well and responds appropriately when redirected. He has not shown any resource guarding or possessive behaviors. Overall, he is social, adaptable, and easygoing. He is good with other dogs and with children. He does well in a car. A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:
✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.
✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).
✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.
The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.
Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.
Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.
