Story
Zamora is a very sweet young girl who initially came to PACC after having been hit by a car. Shy and unfamiliar with normal doggy things like walking on leash when she first arrived, this girl has shown that she is not only a survivor, but is smart, resilient, and has tons of potential! Here’s what some of Zamora’s volunteer friends have said about her journey:“I adore Zamora. Her original notes say that she does not walk on leash, but that was long ago. Now she wants to walk and is always excited to get out of her kennel. She’s a great loose leash walker, enjoys being pet and loved, and will warm up to others with a slow approach and some time to get to know you.”“Zamora has gained more confidence in the last two weeks. She leashes easily and loose leash walks while she takes her time to smell all the goodies around her. She does not react to other dogs, and now she enjoys being gently pet. She is also very gentle taking treats from my hand. Zamora is a very sweet dog who has made a lot of progress since she arrived.”Zamora is looking for a home with a patient family who will help her feel safe as she continues to gain confidence. She shares her kennel with another PACC pup and would likely benefit from having a confident doggy pal to show her the ropes in her future home. Ask to meet Zamora today!!

Story
With a name like Bananas, you may be imaging a wild and rowdy pup. Well, that’s not the case at all- our Bananas is a sweet and sensitive boy who is looking for a patient family who will spoil him and help him continue to build confidence. Bananas spent about six weeks in a foster home- here’s what we learned:- He is gentle and well- behaved when left home alone - He did well meeting new people - He loves walks and is non- reactive to other dogs when on leash- He was house trained overall- He is shy at first but very sweet Bananas has valley fever, which is managed with medication, and is also vision impaired. He has been working with a volunteer trainer who is using positive reinforcement to build Bananas’ confidence in the noisy shelter. Bananas shares his kennel with his sibling and may enjoy a calm, confident furry friend who can guide him in his future home. If you can give this sweet, vulnerable pup the love and care he deserves, please ask to meet Bananas today!!
