Story
**Note: currently, Saenan is in Korea. but he will fly to Vancouver once he is adopted. Background Beautiful Saenan was rescued from a city pound in Sangju, Korea, last winter. Since then, he’s been living safely at our partner boarding house, sharing his days with other rescue dogs. Personality & Socialization Saenan is a happy, bright boy with a big heart. He loves to play with other dogs. Especially those who enjoy running and chasing just like him. Being a Husky, he’s full of energy and joy, and outdoor playtime is truly his favorite part of the day. When it comes to other dogs, Saenan has been very sociable and well-mannered. He spends most of his time with dogs around his size, and he’s always comfortable and loving in their company. He gets along easily and enjoys being part of the group. Saenan is also very affectionate and friendly with people, men, women, and even new faces. He warms up quickly to anyone who shows him kindness and loves being close to his humans. Behaviours Saenan has been an easygoing dog since joining our adoption program. He rides well in the car, does fine during baths and vet visits, and follows his human’s lead nicely. He doesn’t bark excessively and enjoys a calm, happy routine. After his outdoor play sessions, he relaxes quietly and enjoys cuddling or resting beside his friends. Saenan walks well on leash and hasn’t shown destructive behaviors. Health & Diet When rescued, Saenan was treated for heartworm and has made a full recovery. He is now healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home. He’s neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry food twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Saenan would do best with someone familiar with the Husky breed. Ideally, a family who understands their energy and exercise needs. He would love a home with another friendly, playful dog around his size to keep him company and share his adventures. An active person or family who enjoys outdoor activities would be a perfect match for him. Saenan is very loyal, smart, and loving, whoever welcomes him home will be very lucky to have such a faithful companion. ---------------------------- For more info about the dog or the adoption agreement, please submit your link. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/saenan/

Story
I’m Blue, and I’m a curious, bright-eyed Husky with a big heart and even bigger love for the world around me. Every walk feels like an adventure—every scent, every sound is something new to explore. I get so excited, like I’m discovering the world for the first time! When I meet people, I can’t help but walk right up and sniff their faces, just to say, “Hi! Who are you?” People always smile when I do that—maybe it’s the way I tilt my head or my wagging tail that makes them laugh. I get along pretty well with other dogs, too! I do sometimes forget how strong or energetic I can be, especially around smaller pups. I think I’m the same size as them, so I play a little rough without meaning to. If I’m with little friends, I’ll just need someone to help me play more gently. I'm learning! Oh—and being a Husky, I have that classic husky voice… yep, I howl sometimes. When I feel lonely or miss my people, I might sing a little to let you know. So I’d do best in a home where I’m not left alone too often. I really do love being near my humans. I’ve been through a tough start—abandoned alone in a basement—but I’ve never let that stop me from trusting or loving people. I still believe in the goodness of humans, and I’m ready to give all my love to the right family. If you're looking for a joyful, curious, and loyal companion who will fill your days with adventure and laughter, I’m your guy. Let’s discover the world together. With love, Blue 🐾

Story
My name is Rocky, and I’m a 1.5-year-old Husky–Jindo mix boy, weighing around 15kg (33 lbs). I was rescued just before facing euthanasia at a shelter, and now I’m living at a training center, waiting for someone special to take me home. People say I have a unique and striking look—a mix of Husky charm and Jindo spirit—and a personality to match! Since I spent much of my puppyhood in a shelter, I’ve still got a playful, curious side and a whole lot of energy. I love walks and adventures, and I get really excited to explore new places. I’m super friendly! I get along well with other dogs and don’t shy away from strangers—I warm up fast and love making new friends. Sometimes I might get a little jealous if I see other dogs getting too much attention, but it’s just my way of saying, “Hey, don’t forget about me!” 💕 I’m already doing great with both indoor and outdoor potty habits, and with a consistent schedule, I’ll quickly adapt to your routine. Since I’m still in my teenage phase, I’ve got a lot of energy to burn—if I don’t get enough playtime or walks, I might get a bit mischievous at home (chewing, nibbling, you know the drill). So I’d be happiest with a family who enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. More than anything, I just want to be loved. I’ve got a bright, affectionate personality and so much potential to become your loyal, well-mannered best friend—if you’re willing to share your heart and time with me. So, what do you say? Could we be the perfect match? I’ll be here, tail wagging and ready for our next adventure together. 🐺✨ With love, Rocky

Story
Elsa is a 1-year-old female Wolfdog, weighing 23kg. She was rescued just in time from a shelter where she was at risk of euthanasia. Now, she’s looking for a loving family who will give her the life she deserves. Elsa is full of energy, curiosity, and love, making every day an adventure! Personality & Behavior Elsa is a bright and affectionate girl who absolutely adores people. She expresses her excitement with joyful jumps when greeting her favorite humans. While this is endearing, she already understands the "sit" command, so with consistent training, she can learn to greet politely. Elsa thrives on human interaction and will form a deep bond with her owner through love, training, and patience. She is still learning how to socialize with other dogs properly. While she is not aggressive, she needs time and guidance to build confidence in dog interactions. Currently, she is undergoing training to help her navigate social situations with other pups. With continued support, she will improve and learn to play in a balanced way. Activity & Training Needs As a Wolfdog, Elsa is naturally athletic and has impressive jumping ability. She needs an active lifestyle with plenty of exercise to stay happy and well-behaved. A daily routine of long walks, outdoor adventures, and playtime will help her burn off energy and settle calmly at home. She is currently in training, where she follows a structured routine that includes three outdoor exercise sessions a day for potty breaks and play. If her new family maintains a similar schedule, Elsa will quickly adjust to her new home. Elsa is an intelligent dog who picks up training quickly. She already knows "sit" and is learning to wait calmly for treats. With consistent training, she has the potential to learn many more commands and become a well-mannered companion. The Perfect Home for Elsa Elsa will thrive in a home with: ✔️ An active family who enjoys outdoor activities ✔️ Someone committed to training and bonding with her ✔️ Experience with large dogs (or a willingness to learn) Elsa is young and still learning, but she is full of potential. With love, patience, and the right training, she will grow into a loyal and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a smart, energetic, and affectionate dog to share adventures with, Elsa is waiting for you!

Story
Hello out there! My name is RAZ and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Siberian Husky mix Age: Approx. 5 years old Gender: Male Weight: 37 lbs (17 kg)  Height: 60cm (floor to shoulders), 75 cm (floor to ear tips) Length: 90 cm (nose to base of tail), Current Location: SOUTH KOREA  RESCUE STORY - I came to Doremi Dog Rescue (S. Korea) in April 2025 after being rescued from a difficult situation. Before my rescue, I lived without the love and care I deserved for a long time. Thanks to a kind neighbour, I was brought to safety and given a new chance at life! Since arriving at the shelter, I have shown my true gentle and affectionate nature. I am ready to leave my past behind me and find my forever family!  TEMPERAMENT – I am a boy who loves people deeply and feels happiest when I've got human company. I am gentle and affectionate with people I trust. I loveeee walks, ride calmly in the car without a crate, and love to run alongside my guardian. I get the zoomies sometimes and love a good run in an open space. I am even a good boy when getting a bath (video). I am generally a very easy dog to handle and don't mind being touched, even on my belly. In true husky fashion, though, I don't like to be touched when I'm super focused on something (or eating food) and may growl or grumble if I'm uncomfortable.  While I get along with the small dogs at the shelter and am neutral around big dogs, I may prefer to be a solo-dog in my forever household. I am so deserving of all the love and undivided attention of my humans! I am a slow eater and sometimes leave my food and return to munch on it later. I like to have my own space when I eat, so feeding me away from the hustle and bustle of the home is preferred. I sometimes will howl when left alone (again, husky!!), so I may not be well-suited for apartment-living. I am looking for a family who can provide regular walks and adventure, moderate exercise (I am a husky, after all!), and plenty of companionship. Think you're exactly what I'm looking for? Please apply to adopt me! I promise to be the most loyal companion!  ENERGY LEVEL – Medium. I am a healthy husky boy - so I require daily physical and mental activity to keep me feeling content. I am well suited for daily walks and would love some adventure experience - I hear the Pacific Northwest has mountains and trails and rivers and lakes... oh boy! After I've been sufficiently exercised, I am cool as a cucumber and happy to chill, snooze, and receive pets.  GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown.  same with ALL dogs, if I am around children, I should be supervised! My humans need to advocate for my space and make sure I am respected :)  Dogs – Yup! I am currently living with 10 small dogs (under 10kg) at the shelter and I have met some larger dogs at a local doggy play cafe (click here to see - I share the space with the other dogs part way through the video). While I get along with dogs (video, video, video), I prefer the company of humans and gravitate to them in these settings.  When I first meet new dogs, I occasionally will growl (as if to establish a canine heirarchy), but I quickly settle after. This hasn't ever escalated to biting or fighting, but just something for my humans to be aware of. I do best when meeting dogs through a fence, followed by a neutral interaction (butt sniffs) and then I am ready to neutrally co-exist! When treats are scattered for me and my shelter mates to eat freely, I can sometimes be a little sensitive (resource guarding). If feeding me around other dogs, it is best for me to be supervised and for my humans to advocate for my space. I haven't ever shown aggression, but I will growl and advocate for my space if humans don't do it for me. Cats – Unknown. PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – My rescuers say I'm doing pretty well on leash! (video) I sometimes pull a bit (I'm a husky, hehe), but I respond well to a bit of leash pressure. I hope to find an adopter who will continue to work with me on my leash skills. House trained – I am house-trained at the shelter/foster home and do my business outside. Please expect an adjustment period when I go to my forever home though, I may have a few accidents while I'm learning about my new environment. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help remind me of my housetraining manners in my new home!  Cate training: Yup! Basic socialization: Yes – good with people and dogs (with appropriate introductions on neutral territory) No significant behavioral issues Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying to Canada. Diet: I benefit from a diet with good hydration and with fresh or moist food (this supports good urinary health in adult dogs!) I occasionally take supplements for urinary support. I eat chicken and vegetable soup (for hydration) mixed with kibble. I'm a fancy boi! I will have dental cleaning, if necessary, before flying to Canada. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.  ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $728.00 CAD ($650.00 + 5% GST and 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and its adoption process.
